Hey guys, I have been promising a CCT video for a long time and here it is. We originally wanted to do this live, but as many of you know my hotel room internet was abysmal. We took all the questions submitted from you on my website, on Instagram, and even some from when we tried the live. Find out about what controllers do, how it's different from TACP, what the mission is like, deployments, family life, and more.
A huge thanks to Jared for taking his time to put all of this great information out. I really appreciate it.
Let us know what you think about the video or if you have any questions in the comments.

I was first approached in basic training (USAF) in 1969 when I was flagged as a future air traffic controller by CCT. To me, at the age of 19, it sounded like uber boy scouts and I volunteered. From basic to Benning to Keesler to Travis to Ramstein and all points in between. Got out after four years. The training was fantastic, met a ton of very talented guys, and grew up by 10s of years in just four years. We were definitely looked at by everyone else on a base as rogues. Blue berets, bloused fatigues, jump wings, and a gung ho attitude. I loved it

Great information, I have 20 years in the Air Force and 15 as a JTAC/TACP Member. The thing to remember as a Romad, you will mostly be stationed at Army Posts, it is rare to get an assignment at an Air Force base. There are lots of opportunities for Romads. I did deploy a few times with CCT and supported night drops in Korea and other deployments to the desert. I miss it all, it was a lot of fun. Getting the JTAC qualification is one of the primary skills of a ROMAD. The more skills you learn as a ROMAD the more variety you can have in your assignments. One of the better assignments is when you get to support the Military of other countries. ' From my experience you get treated very well because of what you can bring to the battle.

For a physically active male, about 30-ish is the physical peak and culmination of everything you have been doing as a younger lad. 21 year old Micheal Jordan would not stand a chance against 30 year old Micheal Jordan. Not to mention the mental experience and maturity you have attained by now. At 30 you should just know yourself enough and be resolute and you can do anything.

Where were you guys in 73? I got pulled out of my BAsic Electronics class (ground radio) to meet with a Capt and a TSgt who otook me in an emoty office and gave me the CLub Med Speech. Skydiving, scuba Diving, lazy days on the white beaches fo the Florida Panhandle. They pulled out my records and noted that I aced the ASVAB, My PT scores in BMT were off the chart and I was killing itin Basic E. Then I started asking questions with words like "what" and "WHo" and "WHy" and they clammed up or tried to bullshit or claim it was classified (already had my TS/SCI.) Having come fresh off being lied to by recruiters in Peoria, I blew them off. IF I had info like this back then, I would have been all in

It almost sounds like a guy might want to come into A&S with some extra body fat. It might cost you a couple reps on bars or pushups, but when your body is run down and out of carbs, having a body that has some practice living off ketones sounds like a fair idea.

The problem with weight training is that it focusing mainly on the large muscles. They thing that makes you quick and agile are the tiny ones around the joints. A guy might look buff as hell but you can walk up to him, poke him in the nose and just step around him while he lunges at where you were 3 seconds ago

When you think of a CCT, picture a SEAL who can land planes and call in precision air strikes (if JTAC certified). These guys are every bit as well trained as any spec ops unit in the U.S. armed forces (they attach to DEVGRU, SEALS, SF etc.) but they have specialties that no one else has (which is why they attach to said units). Strait up badasses who go through hell to earn their berets. Without a doubt the most under promoted special operators in the country.

Imagine CCT or JTAC with your pnly tools being. Radio, BInolculars, map and compass. MAYBE ...MAYBE a Forward Air COntroller overhead...who would most likely get shot down half way thru the fight. DO battlefield controllers get any training about how to do the job when the tech fails?

@@hammstah9578 There are a few videos of FAC in Vietnam floating around YT. They were essentially th esame function That L4s performed in WWII and Korea s potting targets for artillery or tactical targets for fight/bombers. Heck planes performed those functions in WW I. In my day 72-76 USAF had CCT (mightstill call it that) whoran around in the jungle attached to teams from other services. That organization began back in the 50s if my memory is correct.
