Recruiting videos never show the guys falling down from running, or getting smashed under the pole or having to be rescued during dive training or shivering from being so weak and tired.

This is one of the better training videos I’ve seen. Don’t take yourself so serious while you’re training just pay attention and enjoy what you’re doing and make the best of it. Can’t have a good time if you can’t have a sense of humor

I'm training for my PAST test. I still am on the fence between PJ, CCT, and TACP for reserves. I am more of a shooter...I do alot of formal training at a shooting academy several times a month. Weapons, tactics, basic medical, armorer certifications, precision rilfe and pistol, edge weapons, low light operations, competition shooting and weapons minipulation. I'm looking to actually put these skills I've developed over the years to good use. Support my brothers and serve my country.

What are you testing swim or pull-ups for? They aren't tested in Basic or CCT school. I was CCT for 4 years. Best advice I can give you is, Never quit. It doesnt matter how fast you run, or how many pushups you can do, they will make you do more. And theres a big difference in running 10 minute mile and a half's in pt gear, and running 15 mile 75LB ruck sack runs, soaking wet. Bare in mind as well, 11:00 minutes is the maximum time for 1 1/2 miles in basic, you should work on that for CCT.

Hey everyone. I am interested in CCT. I train hard almost nonstop with my MMA gym. I can easily make the warhawk requirements for basic training right now. I am not afraid of the physical and mental aspects of the training at all, in fact I look forward to something like that. The only thing that concerns me is what happens to you if you blow out a knee or tear an achilles tendon? Surely, there must be some people that are so injured they are forced to wash out. Please reply.

I'm training for the PAST. I practice it every weekday and can meet all of the requirements easily, Except the running. My run is typically between 10:45 and 11:00 minutes. Any tips on how to improve it, such as treadmill, run more often. I don't feel fatigued when I run the mile and a half, just winded more or less. Also, how shitty is it, going to BMT in winter, which is probably when I'm going.

@MISTERMISTER361 That's because they wear their uniforms to conform to their insane physical demands .. I am not a CCT but I am sure if I tried any of this with my ABU pants bloused and the standard issue boots I'd have my legs and feet bleeding. It's called common sense, apart from the ABU being a complete failure of a uniform (which we won't go into right now). That's why they mostly wear Multicam. You're probably one of those Command E9's that "deploys" to Al Udeid to police sock heighth

How long is the actuall training for this because the airforces website just says varies which doesnt tell you shit! im kinda interested in doing this.
@XNetdaheIntruderX10 жыл бұрын
It really does vary man. The first part of your pipeline before earning your beret is about a year and a half. You go through bmt (basic), ccsc (selection), ATC (air traffic control) airborne, serve and then off to ccs. If you're tough enough and lucky enough to make it to CCS you just might get your beret. After that you PCs to Hurlbert Field, Florida. From there you do free fall, dive, and other things to prepare you for being assigned to a special operations squadron. I've been told that once you make it there then your "real" training begins.
@XNetdaheIntruderX10 жыл бұрын
I mean honestly, it all depends on which class date you get into, if you get injured and how long it takes you to recover and also if you do well on your PAST test before selection and after selection you'll take AFSOC tests which make the PAST look like child's play.
