Jag IV's looks like a company - are tough in defense. Be interesting to read up on the actual battle. Thanks for the hard effort.

horsensscope The main problem for the British came from just a couple of 88's covering the main road north of the village. They eventually sent a patrol off to the west,then north in a big loop and approached Eindhoven from the north via little country lanes. At about the same time that the British patrol linked up with the US paratroops near Eindhoven the remaining Germans abandoned their positions around Aalst.

When I took on this campaign last year, the Assault Platoon mentioned in the briefing never appeared. Did you get them? I think this mission is pretty much impossible without them.

"Warts 'n' all" Only 'C' Company turned up. Maybe this is an example of the problems people are noticing with older battles/campaigns after applying the upgrades - updated OOBs.

Proambulator I'm still running v2.12 so I'm not sure why the Assault Platoon were not available to me. I've broken down the campaign using the editor and will probably give this mission a try as a stand alone battle sometime. In the meantime I did take a quick look at the set-up phase again, and, lo and behold the Assault Platoon were on the map.

IIRC Ts4EVER did this mission (Iron level also) and came out with a major win. Dunno if he had the assault Platoon but what I do remember is that he weighted his right flank fairly heavily. Knocked out several Jagdpanzers from that angle while neutralizing the AT assets with infantry and artillery. Then caught town defenders in crossfire and exited numerous units from the map. A nice combined-arms demonstration.
