Austyn James I went hiking with my friend wearing jeans, and we had to come off the trail in one day because his inner thighs were chafing his skin off. To this day he insists that denim is the best performance material, and that his experience is some kind of personal genetic flaw or something. Definitely not the poorly fitting pants made of cotton.

I've worn the UF Pro HT for about 2 years almost exclusively. They are well-made. I love the pocket configurations. My favorite design aspect of the pockets is that there are large pockets sewn over the main pockets, allowing me to put large things in the main pocket, and disguise them with stuff in the covering pockets. Best pocket design ever. The HT features really do work. I can feel the breeze sometimes. Nice. I don't like cinching on the knee pads--it restricts the air flow. Then again, I don't use them in a highly dynamic environment, so that might be something to consider. The height of the pads is perfect for me. I use both pads, and they are life savers. Unfortunately, I knock the pant down 2 stars because of durability. They wear out fast. Maybe because I carry a lot of heavy gear in my pockets, but, hey, that's what I do, and these pants wear out way too fast for me. They start developing holes after about 2 months. The main pockets have mesh at the bottom of the pocket, which is cool, but it wears out really fast when you carry heavy things in there. I can't stand the velcro lining in the waist. I don't tuck in a shirt, and that thing rubs my skin, so as soon as a new pair arrives, I cut it out. The pants are not ready to wear until that velcro strip is gone. I feel like I have to stick with them for awhile, because of the pocket configuration, and the built in knee pads, but for $250, I expect better durability. I wish I could find something different. Do you know anyone who repairs pants? I have 4 pairs that need repairs.

@1truthbegettingtold2755 жыл бұрын
I wear Tru-Spec for everything from work to paintball and even lifting weights. They are baggy if you get Medium Longs but Medium Regular fits real nice. No zippers, no Velcro, its all buttons on these. With those UF Pro pants if a zipper breaks convert it into a button up pocket. Pre-plan your button spots by seeing how many fingers you can fit into a gap you make then close off desired gap sizes. For those thigh pockets to open horizontal and vertical without losing anything go for at least 3 buttons with 2 closing off bottom.

I tell them they are if 5.11 and Carhardt had a baby and then they made pants that weren't shitty.....they would be Kuhl's. For knee pads, therebis no pocket for internals and I hate external pads. Funny enough the best ones I have found are from an airsoft company. Valken tactical internal knee pads are the most comfortable and actually have held up better than the "real steel" companies offerings I have tried. Try this combo out brother, I won't tell anyone
