There's this and a robot racetrack further east, both really interesting post-war recreational spaces in the commonwealth that frustratingly get left as generic Raider encounters. Fallout 4's got a lot of interesting world spaces that just kinda get put to waste, it's a real shame tbh.

My foster playthrough I got to fight Cait and in my second I was confused why I was getting attacked and kept reloading and looked it up to find out I played cut content

i believe fo4 was just to introduce kids to fallout. i started with fo4 at 14 in 2017, and for me it was PEAK, like the best game ever made. to this day im a fallout fan, and im sure thats what they were aiming for

It's actually kind of funny how many times Bethesda tried to implement a combat arena and ended up cutting it. I look forward to reading about the one that's going to be cut from Starfield. Even the New Vegas combat arena had a load of cut content due to the whole thing being something of a mess to set up.

Thinking of starting a new game just to do some of these quests with a less strong character/without a ton of power weapons. Really wanting to play the zion park dlc again after starting it. Sadly my save corrupted a few quests into it

Betheda really has something against arenas recently, they cut an arena from both Skyrim and Fo4. Can't wait to discover the cut arena from Starfield.

Patches was going to be the doctor: if you check the doctor dialogue, there's a check specifically for him where the player can ask him if it isn't a conflict of interest to work as a doctor, but he responds with a generic line instead. Stanley's voice type also has some unused lines negotiating with you for Buddy. Additionally there were cut raider lines complaining about the quality of the beer in the female raider dialogue, and the player has some unused lines related to the combat zone (seemingly talking to the doorman as they're asking what the place is). You can find these with the cut audio script for xedit.

I distinctly remember the disappointment I felt when I was 10 hours deep into playing the night after release. So many characters mention the Combat Zone as though it’s more than a dungeon so when I found it I was so stoked to get some good quests and see an arena! And then I got mercilessly attacked by everyone and got Evergreen Mills flashbacks

When I first got to this dungeon i was like, oh cool this is an arena just like in oblivion, I'm going to bet on fights and go in the arena and fight other opponents, this is so awes... oh they are all attacking me, so it's just a dungeon and nothing more :( I think it's a shame they decided to scrap this the arena it could have been awesome, in the end it's just a location you visit on once and forget about.

Just one of many instances where Bethesda dropped the ball. It would’ve been great for evil players to have a place (outside Nuka World) where they can dwell with npcs like them. Instead it’s just another enemy stronghold we have to shoot our way through

the combat zone being stripped of it's potential for player housing is a bit disappointing. this is coming from someone who only enjoys FO4's survival mode - i think the building's location in relation to the other settlements/dungeons in the area combined with the fact that you can access it pretty soon after you reach diamond city would've given it a great role as a player base

There used to be a mod on Xbox where you go to Combat Zone, the raiders talk hostile but don't immediately snap, you end up cage fighting Cait, there is some dialog, you leave with her, but you can come back and a different raider could fight you, but Beth must have removed it.

Fallout 4 and Skyrim very often felt like we got Kvatch without also getting the Imperial City, if that makes sense. Like Kvatch was the teaser second arena, but the combat zone was a teaser for an arena we never even got in the game.

I remember investigating Convent with the dead caravan I had Cait with me and was trying to get this to get it as a settlement then she started to break down about her Psycho. It made her quest and Convet's much better and we where their because of a settlement guest. Also yea tommy just out right is gone from F4 like he won a lottery or something.
