Say whatever you like: besides the forced character evolution of Dante and the not-so-deep plot, this game was pretty solid. It's extremely fun to play, challenging if you want to, and creative. You already know about the soundtrack.

DmC has potential. The story is pretty cool, like a mirror demon world to our own. But man, the script NEEDS some work big time. And I wish the demons and bosses will look more menacing and intimidating next time and not too gross. Hope to see a cool devil trigger 2

NinjaNick96 I don't like how certain enemies are only vulnerable to certain weapons though. Takes away the freedom factor that made DMC so great. In many ways, Metal Gear Rising represents what DmC would have been had it lived up to its potential, gameplay wise.

Rynnec Zuhac I agree on that part. I think it certain aspects of DmC were a lot more smooth, but over all DMC was better. If they made a DMC game incorporating certain aspects from DmC, they could make a very solid game. I agree the whole needing certain weapons to kill certain enemies was kind of annoying at times.

+dante A.K.A tony redgrave The new Dante looks Emo..but STFU.The voice acting is the best ever for any DMC game ever made..and the script and story is good enough for a DMC game...dont say the story was a strong point in a DMC game..story was never a strong point for a DMC game... Although I have to agree with you that story is not a strong point on a DMC game. "How enjoyable the game was..and the badass action!" Yep,pretty bad ass action,indeed. But the game,although having some pros,it also has its cons. Like the "color-coded" enemies. While it may give you challenge,it runs the risk of limiting your freedom in doing combos. The Devil Trigger is not the best at all,it didn't give challenge to the gameplay,it's just demons floating in the air like bitches. (Thank God they addressed that in the Definitive Edition) Just a friendly pal here, As much as I love the Classic Devil May Cry series,DmC is a good game,but it also have its cons.

the lead singer was originally from a norwegian punk rock band and he's been experimenting with different genres for years. he recently started a psychobilly/rockabilly band. I'd say this kind of music is right up his alley.

honestly, I'm surprised at how good of a game ninja theory brought to us despite all the HATE they received from fans during the production. I mean people were going crazy about the reboot thing and their game was hated by fans from long before its release. Despite all that, they worked their asses off to bring us a friggin awesome game. I say that as someone who's played every DMC before this one.

You forgot DMC 1? He didn't attack Dante when he first bumped into him in the game(mission 5) he made his presence known and ordered him to come outside to fight, he then made his presence known again in the second fight(Mission 11 I think), and the third he didn't strike Dante right away he revealed who he was before he fought him because Dante admitted to him this. "A man with guts and honor, I like that, but its a shame you serve Mundus"

I find all the music in this game to be very fitting I applaud Combichrist for taking this big step because they didn't have to say yes, I will admit I am a "fanboy" for Devil May Cry so I might be a little biased, but I do believe that the music for this game helps set the mood for the characters in it as a way of showing rage and suffering that they all go through. Again this is just how I feel and I don't mean to persuade anyone on how they feel about the game or the band.

i know what you mean but vergil didnt know what was missing to reactivate the tower. In the second fight arkham revealed the missing peace to be Mary "Lady's" blood he didnt even know she was important she was just THERE in his eyes.

As a DMC fan since 1 it was pretty hard to swallow this Dante but once you get passed the looks he really looks like a CHARACTER that you can follow through his life unlike the original Dante who just wise cracks and breezes through everything only to have 1 or 2 minutes of him giving a emotional lesson then thats it XD

Vergil uses one of Dante's guns at the end of Devil May Cry 3. He just doesn't usually use guns mainly out of preference. Also, we may as well consider this game new canon since it is a reboot, kind of like how different comic book artists will make their own twists on origin stories of the same heroes. Spider-Man, for example. Sometimes he excretes web from his wrists, sometimes he makes web launchers. It's still Spider-Man

The Yamato's spirit is indeed Vergil's spirit. Nero just mainly borrowing Vergil's Yamato power but that doesn't actually mean he is Vergil's son. The other theory is that Nero's demon right hand is infused with Vergil's DNA by The Order so that explains why he is the other person beside Dante who can use the Yamato.
