Your description of AC is wrong - In AC mode, the car does not tell the EVSE how much current it needs. The EVSE advertises the maximum available current to the car, and the car draws whatever it wants up to that maximum. This limit can vary during charging, e.g. for solar or load-balancing.

DC charging does not use the PWM signal. It uses the Homeplug Greenphy power-line comms protocol over the CP line when the PWM duty is

Yes as I said in the video I covered only basics and if someone needs to go deeper he/she can read the document linked in the video description. It is stated there on chapter 4 that CCS used Homeplug Greenphy power-line communication.

Hi sir , what do you mean by it does not use pwm signal ? Do you mean in order to control the amount of current feed into the car for dc charging , It does not use pwm signal just like how ac charging does ? Because i believe for ac charging the charger will send pwm signals to the car and exchange the max amount of available current with the car and the car will receive the current up to the max limit right ? But for dc charging , is the mechanism not like that ? If the answer no , then how can we prevent from overload / tripping occurs ? Because I believe for dc charging , the car is requesting the amount of current from the charger right up to the limit , but who determines the limit if pwm signal is not use ? Thank you very much , i hope someone can answer my questions , I really have doubt on this issues

I’m at Egypt and here they use CCS2 for DC stations and I got Ford Focus Electric 2017 from USA and it’s CCS1 , I use adapter , I can charge fine with ABB stations , but I can’t using EVbox stations. The car starts the lock on the gun and then it unlocks and the charging session terminate , why is that. ???

How does the CCS chargers get the SOC on the car before charging? - I am quite sure I have see the SOC when charging my Tesla (Is it doing some canbus stuff somehow)
@tedonash26813 жыл бұрын
If you check the CSS documentation (tesla.o.auroraobjects.eu/Design_Guide_Combined_Charging_System_V3_1_1.pdf) on page 41 it is described: The High Level Communication in DC charging takes place via power line communication (PLC) and is used for exchange of charging parameters e g voltage and current as well as information's like state of charge, remaining charging time, next maintenance. There is also the possibility to enable and operate a payment system via high level communication.

Can we charge a vehicle-AC type-2 connector with DC current

One basic question - does DC DC charging and AC charging happen simultaneously at a time or one should opt of DC ultra fast charge or AC charge?
@tedonash26813 жыл бұрын
Very good question. Unfortunately I don't have an answer and also it is not defined in the spec. I think it should happen simultaneously but I haven't seen any DC fast charger having AC connectors in the DC plug
@udai4k3 жыл бұрын
@@tedonash2681 I did ask some.of the experts, they are also of the similar opinion that if it's a fast charge station, then it's only either DC DC or type 2 AC

So technically if I have Electric motorcycle which has CCS charging port, and company given charger of 3.5kW, I can still charge the bike at public car chargers which are CCS no matter if they are 30kW or 60kW, CCS standard will negotiate correct amperage for my bike and it will be safe?
