Thanks. Will like to know how you fix the top reinforcement to the bottome reinforcement. Normally in BS8110 there is a minimum of 350 lap between the top and the bottom reinforcement. I do no know whether there is a need for chair (what form? what interval? what barsize?) or whether we can simply lace the bars where they intersect with binding wire which seemed a bit risky buc it is lack of details like this in the bode or in construction books that account for needless headache on site and structural failure.

In slab type combine footing, Bending is more along longitudinal direction as compared to transverse direction.

It depends on the calculated rebar required. If minimum reinf is more than rebar required for moment then no extra rebar required.
