K18 shampoos and the leave in repairing treatment have been A1. I don’t have color but they’re safe for color treated hair. Chat with their support team on the phone, they were helpful. I turned to them because my scalp was issue. I wash once a week.

I also don’t use leave ins or spray throughout the week. That expensive treatment is working 😂. Locks are hydrated and scalp isn’t flaring from seborrheic dermatitis. I’m allergic to all the shampoos they recommended.

You’re welcome, they make a mini trial set on the k18 website and it’s sold at Sephora. I got about 4-6 weeks of use with the shampoos and the treatment. Their website answers a lot of questions on how and when to use it.

I'd definitely rather have the long form content from you. Your content is very insightful, honest, helpful, and interesting. You give the real about anything that you post and that's refreshing. You're not just making content for the sake of it. I really Njoy your channel.

I love the “long” form content. I’ve been watching your videos for the last 2 to 3 months. I began my microloc journey 2.5 months ago. I think your hair is beautiful. I’m interested in hair care. Not too much into styling just yet as I cut off my relaxed hair before loc’ing and still dealing with shrinkage 😆. But I’m loving my new “carefree” hair. PS…one of the first videos (a short) of yours that sealed the deal to loc my hair was when you said all you do is remove your bonnet, shake your hair and you’re ready to go.

I watch the long form content. I watch it while running data analysis for work. I started my locs October 2021 so I watch your videos as kind of a guide into someone who may be experiencing the same things I am around the same time.

Hello, I started following you when I was two-month journey with my micro locks and now I'll be celebrating my year journey on the 27th of this month, July. During the pandemic, a good friend of mine started her journey. Three years later, her locs are gorgeous. That's when I started getting interested in the locs. She said that she keeps her washed/oiled with regular hair products along with retied and that's it. Once I got my locs, I had to have this and that hair products for my locs but now, I went back to just using the hair shampoo/conditioner/oil products I used before getting my locs and my locs are gorgeous. I've used your videos to style my hair and forwarded them to my friends/coworkers, etc. I love your short and long content videos rather it's locs or mental health. Whatever you decide, I'll be watching! Also, I've been thinking about getting a rinse mahogany. Not with permanently dying my hair, just a rinse from time to time.

You could be bored it happens, but dry locs don’t mean you need to cut them off. If they were breaking that would be different, but they look great & it’s entirely your choice if you do cut them. Good move to stop using coconut oil, it’s not the best for haircare try jojoba oil it helped my son tremendously his sebhorric dermatitis we barely use the Nizoral shampoo he was prescribed. Good luck with decision & journey ☺️ 🇬🇧

No problem. Don’t forget, weather, seasons & hormones can make hair feel different too. But all those years & that hard work would be as game to let them go after only 3 years. Remember it’s a journey not a race it will come with trials, tribulations, ups, downs, good & bad days. 😊

Here from the beginning, you started your hair a month before mine so I'm making 3 years this year too! I like the long format videos - you have a wonderful vibe and I watch your videos! Now having dry locs doesn't mean you should cut them - just keep babying them - deep conditioner, spritz with your leave-ins, keep eating healthy and they'll get back in order! I'll recommend adding glycerin to your liquid sprays and moisturisers, as it's a humectant and you want to attract moisture to your locs! Additionally aphogee 2 step treatment would definitely strengthen your hair!! Keep at it - and your hair will continue to thrive

So glad you left the coconut oil. I have recently discovered Cecred’s oil and I have used it with my usual which is Jamaican Black Castor Oil. I like long form context. I think when your microlocs are causing you distress that is when you should check to see who can be helped because they are going through the same thing or something similar. ❤

Love the long form content and this retwist looks awesome! I get what youre saying about fullness, I’m going to start doing the two point rotation self reties instead of the four my loctician does for more volume. Steaming helps a lot with dryness, melanin haircare’s multi use oil seals in moisture really well too, a hot oil treatment with that might help. I’ve heard lion locs moisturizer is good too

Your hair is always beautiful sis but I think you confirmed for me that I don’t need and/or want to color my hair any longer as my hair is low density and dryer looking without it! I’m going to embrace my gray hair just as I’ve embraced my microloc journey. Thanks so much and btw, I value the long form content more. ❤👸🏽

I've watched A LOT of videos, and a lot of people steam their locs when dry. Look up videos on steaming locs because some say too much steam is too much. So see how often and how long each time.

I ultimately decided to retwist my micro locs because interlocking was stressing my hair out. They were being compromised and i decided that just wasn't worth it. I almost lost a loc and was like heck nah 🤣 I feel safe now!

I understand what your talking about. I colored mine after 3 yrs of locs. I tried everything and decided to comb out due to the dullness and how dry my locs were and a year later I started a new loc journey. If I try color again it’ll be temporary wax color . 🤔 Maybe. Love your content!

This may be hard since you are palm rolling now but have you considered steaming? I've only used color to cover my greys but I've had to get used to "new" expectation regarding how to define my hair being moisturized. Wetting everyday isn't the answer. Doing a good steam when I wash (& then sitting under dryer to dry) has helped my hair to feel good throughout the week. Also pick one line of items that worked when you were loose natural and stick to that brand for shampoo and conditioner. You don't need a lot of products just tweak your routine.

Hey sis ❤ have you tried Made For Locs aloe spray? Could the dryness be hormonal/age?? I also wonder if the texture is changing as the locs continue to mature. Just thoughts. I did a retwist in between my last retie… loved that it took less time lol😅 I enjoy the long form!! No matter what you choose - best wishes ❤ 🔺🐘
