I can confirm Ludwig knew. I was watching Ludwig live stream this, he does actually tell chat his whole thought process. At first he was still maulding and he didn't want Toast to win another game, and he was thinking Toast was the witch but then he noticed Toast wasn't venting. So that moment when Toast said he vented, Ludwig 100% knew and realised they could both win. It was grudgingly but he saw the opportunity, and went for the hard sell. You can also hear him mutter "good job Toast" on this video just before the Victory screen comes up. When asked if he knew post game in the lobby he confirmed he did and when realised he "just Yolo-ed". It did cheer him up and it was really sweet when Toast says "from enemies to friends" (.... and Ludwig replies "and maybe even lovers.") 🤣 I think that last part was to Ludwig's chat only. I haven't seen it in any other streamers clips.

Imo Ludwig is *way* funnier collaboratively than by himself, which I don’t mean as an insult in any way. Of all the streamers I know, Lud is by far the best at playing off the humor of other streamers, and he is effective at many different types of humor. He’s also willing to be the butt of the joke when necessary, and knows exactly how far he can push a situation to make it slightly uncomfortable in a funny way but not to the point of true awkwardness.

I guess they thought there was no way Lud would have been able to see him kill, and vent. Also Lud didn't really explain much maybe he was scared it would out his imposter vision. It was a weird game though. Maybe they were just having some fun. But that same game Toast vented in front of everyone claiming to be Engineer, Rae as evil guesser died guessing him proving he wasn't engineer and he still gotta away with it. It did leave to the brilliant Lud + Toast Lawyer and Jester game though.

@@leonardocamilio1206 Funny thing is Toast really didn't sound very convincing at all, but I think a lot of the group is a little too comfortable taking Toast's word on things at times. I think if Ludwig just literally said what he saw (name poking through wall), he would have convinced them, but he crumbled from Toast's desperation play. Even more so if he pointed out that Toast's version that Ludwig vented out makes no sense given that Ludwig reported.

Toast figuring out Lud was likely his lawyer, and blatantly lying about venting, clued Lud into the fact Toast wanted him to call him out as the killer, not Engineer. It was clever by both sides to figure out each other's role and make a convincing argument against each other, knowing Toast would seem more guilty.
