That was one incredible makeover! I would’ve never seen the potential in that. You made this look like such a beautiful mid-century modern original creation. Absolutely love it, I think I’m gonna give refinishing a try, I have some solid pieces of wood furniture that have been battered from my kids growing up, but are still structurally perfect. Learning a lot of techniques watching your show! You should have your son help you out on more projects too! I’ll probably get my kids to help me. Thank you again.

Yes you should absolutely give it a try its such a great form of stress relief, your kids might actually enjoy it to. My son likes to work on pieces by himself he's pretty good but not consistent he's got other hobbies of his own but I get mom points for being a KZbinr 😆. thank you for watching.

OMG! How many times have I seen those very chairs at the ReStore or Goodwill and just passed them by. Seems like I see them all the time. Now…. I HAVE TO HAVE THEM! And watch… I bet I won’t see any forever now. LOL. This was a great transformation. I found your channel today. I’m at work at an antique/flea market and it’s a slow afternoon. So I’m binge watching your channel in between customers. I love this piece. I would totally use this as a liquor cabinet. LOL. I have a piece here at the store that I’ve been eyeballing wondering what i could do with it. It needs lifted but wasn’t quite sure what to do for legs. A chair like that would be perfect legs. And it would match the design of the piece so well. And I have a customer that is already looking for a liquor cabinet and I think she would love this idea.

This is wonderfully clever. 100% agree on using trim router for hand held work. I have a similar model. We have a large one in a router table , I am a bit intimidated by it. We have the luxury of a heated wood shop, but we don’t have it fully arranged yet. We still need to figure out the best arrangement. Fun story, I bought the same cat print fabric off a bolt in orange, I made 2 throw pillow covers. IKEA is the first place to look for interesting fabric, especially if it is drapes because they are super long. You really get a great value, even in their beautiful velveteen ones, very nice fabric at a very reasonable cost.

We bought a bunch of wood tools from a nice young man who was working on his masters degree and just had no time to work w wood and needed his shop space and $$. We have need working toward getting our shop situated ever since, an embarrassing length of time. But life takes time 😻
