This was an incredibly difficult math problem for me (I learned this 14 years ago and haven't applied much chance calculation since), but I think I have the definitive answer. Correct me if I'm wrong. The chance all 16 missiles hit the two 8 health minions and zero went face was approximately 2,3%. Here's how I calc'd it. There are two bowls in front of me. In bowl 1 there are 8 blue balls. In bowl 2 there are 8 yellow balls. I draw a ball from a random bowl 16 times. However, before I draw a ball, I roll a dice with 3 sides. If i roll a dice roll of 3, I don't draw a ball and it takes up a draw from the bowl. When one bowl is empty because all 8 balls are drawn by chance, we change the dice to a 2 sided dice. Now, when a 2 is rolled we don't draw a ball from the remaining bowl. When we roll a 1, we draw from the remaining bowl. What is the chance in total we draw all 16 balls and never "skip a turn" ? Step 1: Probability of Drawing from Each Bowl Successfully Bowl 1: Probability of drawing all 8 balls from Bowl 1 before it's emptied = (2/3) ^ 8 (Same logic as before, successful draw = 2/3 on 3-sided dice) Bowl 2: Probability of drawing all 8 balls from Bowl 2 after Bowl 1 is emptied = (1/2) ^ 8 (Successful draw with 2-sided dice = 1 on the remaining roll) Step 2: Probability of Switching Dice at the Right Time We need to consider two scenarios: Scenario 1: Bowl 1 empties exactly on the 8th draw (perfect timing). Scenario 2: Bowl 1 empties before the 8th draw (early emptying). Scenario 1 (Perfect Timing): Probability of rolling only "2/3" on the 3-sided dice for 7 draws and then switching to the 2-sided dice on the 8th draw (perfect timing to empty Bowl 1): ((2/3) ^ 7) * (1/3) (One "3" to switch dice) Scenario 2 (Early Emptying): Probability of emptying Bowl 1 before the 8th draw: We can calculate the probability of NOT emptying Bowl 1 in 7 draws (all "2/3" rolls) and subtract from 1. Probability of NOT emptying Bowl 1 in 7 draws: ((2/3) ^ 7) Probability of emptying Bowl 1 before the 8th draw: 1 - ((2/3) ^ 7) Combining Scenarios: The total probability considers both scenarios (perfect timing and early emptying): Total Probability = (Probability of Scenario 1) + (Probability of Scenario 2) * (Probability of drawing from Bowl 2) Total Probability = ((2/3) ^ 7) * (1/3) + (1 - ((2/3) ^ 7)) * ((1/2) ^ 8) =0,023~=2,3%

The scenario where you cannot empty a bowl is (2/3)^16. This is 0.001 or 0.1% chance. This should be more likely when you cannot empty a bowl compared to when you can. Your math is wrong somewhere.

My math ain't too good, but if I am not mistaken, you had 2/3rd chance for each missile to hit minions and since you shot 16 that would be a (2/3)^16 = 0.15% chance. The last shot would be a 1/2 chance as one of them would be dead, but the result would still be similar.

If you dig enough you can find THE saltiest chump ever (it was in RoS Iirc) he was against a token druid and the video just ended on the spot and he probably uninstalled hs for a couple of months. Tbh that was a disgusting luck for the opponent at the topdeck (I don't want to spoiler more if you want to find it), and this time he's salty about dirty rat which is an amazing card except when you are playing funny stuff. This game can be tilting if you take too seriously but those 2 were not the case imho

The content creator split on Dirty Rat is so interesting to me. On the one hand, its Savjz's favorite card ever because skillful play with it allows you to disrupt combo decks and play more grindy control decks. On the other hand, Chump hates it because, regardless of whether or not he is playing a combo deck, people don't play skillfully with it (al5hough it does always hit the best minion on his hand) and it just makes games less fun.

Maybe someone better at math can correct me, but if we estimate the chance of killing the two 8/8s in the first game, it has to be somewhere between (2/3)^16 and (2/3)^8*(1/2)^8 which is somewhere between 0.15% and 0.015%. And more likely closer to the upper boundry. So definately very lucky, but I doubt it's the luckiest you have ever been over all the hearthstone games you've played.

Chump please try this self-damage warlock deck, I've gone 24-9 with it in gold/diamond ranks. Relies basically on intense self damage with overstatted minions (Flame/Baritone Imp, Malefic Rook, Trogg Exile, Zilliax) to then capitalize on the discounts on Imprisoned Horror and Molten Giant, which can also be Celestial Projectionisted. Mech warrior Theif priest Multiple death knight decks elemental shaman elemental mage spell slinger shaman and so many others. if your deck can win before getting to ten mana crystals, it should be nerfed. i want to reach my 10th turn.

@@MachinegunnerMugZ If a game ends too early, you get no quest rewards, and are given a warning for it. Games are ending before players get to 5 or even 6 mana crystals, with some games ending before players get to 3 mana crystals. That means no quest rewards, no exp gains, nothing. the games are so fast that we could switch to yugioh and no one would notice a difference. Pirate Rogue is one such deck that wins on turn 3. Remember mech mage? that was another one that won fast, and won early. These have happened in the last 2 years. It gets worse when you conscider how consistent reno decks are. 1 in one billion chance to draw a specific line that can kill by turn 5, and 60% of the time, reno decks are able to do it. Would be nice to actually see some wins after turn 6, but even new higher mana cards can't see play if the meta is "never get to seven crystals"
