Sister I don't know if this will Help You but I was contacted by an ex after 30 yrs of cheating and deceit. 10 yrs later while I'm Learning what TRUE Love REALLY is, being reminded of Who God says I am, and Learning BIG Lessons about Trusting God and how He'll Lead Us, out of the clear blue sky I get a call saying She'd like to talk or whatever. Bottomline, the divorce was HARD on Me. Trying to save a Marriage, I walked away from God after 50 yrs. Thought that might help. It didn't. Know what happened to Me? God came AFTER Me running fast for Me. The Marriage might have broke up but NO WAY was HE going to let Me go. I found TRUE Love in HIM. He's brought People into My Life that TRULY care for Me like I've NEVER known before. When the ex called, I simply wrote that I'm in the healthiest stage of My Life, great things are happening and I'm LOVING what going on. Told Her "I moved Forward and for Me, i have to be True to Myself." Just left it at that and haven't heard a word from Her since. I tried to be as 'nice' as I could without any animosity or hurtful words - just told the Truth. Had 30yrs of a Hosea/Gomer relationship but with a twist. In the end of this Chapter of My Story, it wasn't Me going after Her. It was better - GOD came after ME and took ME back. Don't know if this helps any, but Pray about it. I'm going to Pray for You Sister b/c I KNOW what losing Trust feels like. But I've Learned to Trust again. Trust GOD. You LISTEN to what the Holy Spirit tells You to do. Not Your Heart, not Our Mind, not Your emotions - the Holy Spirit. Let Me share John 16:13 from the Amplified - it says "...but when He, the Spirit of Truth, comes, He will guide you into all the truth [full and complete truth]. He did not love me as Christ loved the church because if I mattered to him he wouldn't have waited almost a year to contact me.
