I’m in Melbourne Australia and almost all towns have a fish and chips shop .. I’m suprised you love it so much as you don’t eat fish 😂.. free range fish is wild fish rather than farmed. My standard order is regular fish and chips with ketchup - no vinegar

Our choice of fish is a a light battered haddock with chips done in the air fryer. We like salt and pepper nothing else, maybe ketchup for the chips! We are lucky enough to get fresh fish here on the east coast of Canada. 🇨🇦 My husband and I were in the UK in September, it was so beautiful and I could have stayed for a long time. Canadian here, we have a few good chip shops here in Toronto. My order is Haddock & Chips. I agree with Charlie about A&E being overused. But if you hit your head and black out even for a second I would visit your Doc to be safe. Having good fun watching your vlogs, Happy Holidays! 😊

DC resident here, and I LOVE fish and chips and ate it 3x while in London this month. Although I couldn't finish any of the portions because they were humongous! And Charlie probably figured it out by now but that was the Waterboys, "Whole of The Moon" from This Is The Sea playing in Joules. I bought that LP when it came out in 1985. Love it.

I’m from the Southwestern USA and fish and chips is something that is impossible to find. Occasionally, you’ll find have it at british themed restaurants in the big cities. My mom loves it and ALWAYS gets a “chippy” when she can. I had a vegan “fish” and chips when I visited Scotland a few years ago (they imitated the fish using banana flowers) and it was SO GOOD. Such a fun experience

I'm from Australia, we do love our fish and chips here. My order is usually just very traditional fish of the day with chips. I use to put vinegar on my chips, but these days I'm partial to an Aioli, I also love to add a few battered scollops to my order ... We have a Japanese chap who does the tempura batter - yum!! I could watch Dickie's side eye all day, they are soo lovely when they play like that.

Your Fish & Chips meal looked so yummy! I live in the States and we have a very good Fish & Chips and delicious Burgers spot in my area. The most "famous" one looks like an Old English Pub style and they now have 6 locations around the area. They serve a mellow white fish with a delicious light batter and the chips are what this area calls "steak fries" and very good cole slaw. I love them with malt vinegar. The first time a friend took me to the original location in Worthington, Ohio I wanted to stay there all day. It was so much fun. I think I've just talked myself into Fish & Chips for supper :) :)

We have fish and chips in the coastal areas of the US. I get them with loads of tartar sauce and sometimes a lemon wedge for the fish, and ketchup for the fries, unless the fries are seasoned. Adorable Christmas jumpers, btw!!

Fish and chips used to be a staple in our diets back in the 1960s and 70s in southern California. Friday night's my dad would bring them home and we'd eat them with dipped in apple cider vinegar, so delicious and now it's hard to find anyone who sells them. Your shopping trip looked like so much fun and I had to laugh at all the books Charlie ended up getting as my husband would do the same. Christmas at Rizzoli's was a very expensive yet very fun shopping adventure each and every year. Another beautiful vlog, thank you for sharing.

I cannot love these two anymore than I already do!! If they don’t have children can’t you just see a posh little dachshund club they own, to give a puppy for people that need a companion or children with special needs or a service dog. We have only had dachshunds in my family all my life. Our one dog saved my mom’s life twice when her sugar dropped and she past out, Bailey ran to my dad barking and kept running back and forth down the hallway until dad got up and went and found my mom. They are so smart, so loving and very protective of their owners. You could name the puppy club, dexy & dickens.. ;) The shopping loot from Jules was fabulous!! Wish we had one here close by in the US!! Also we don’t do fish & chips at Christmas sadly my favorite was from Captain D’s and we no longer have one here where I live!! So good!!

I live in the midwestern US (Indiana) and the nearest freshwater is 6-7 hours away and the nearest oceanfront is 10 hours away so fish isn’t a big part of our diet, unless it’s frozen. My husband lived 20 years in Houston and is a seafood snob as a result (😅) so we typically only eat fish when we travel to a coast. We either make up the fatty acids with seeds or supplements. As I’m sure you’ve experienced, hamburgers and fries or tacos are probably the American equivalent of fish and chips.
