When I went to TG the first time, I must admit that I complained a lot. By the second week, I decided to shut up and just be open-minded. That is when i really started to appreciate the country for what it had to offer and its other potentials. There is still a lot to be done, but they will get there eventually. Other African countries were just like TG before, including the UK, with its massive slums, no baths, and outdoor toilets. Look at the UK now. Loved this video, btw. Thank you for taking the time to make it. I'm definitely going to share.😊

At 4.48 you should have gone straight on and shown in my opinion the best looking apartments in TG. called Kololi Sands (sane owners as Forest view apartments. That whole area (about 50+ acres from memory) was purchased many years ago by 3 British people - they could have been brothers.8.20 It is called Karaiba Hotel and is considered a better standard than Sennegambia hotel next door. 12.45 African Princess hotel is good and the restaurant is excellent. 13.30 on the right is Luigis - the 1st pizza restaurant in TG established in 1995 by an English woman Julie and her Italian husband Luigi.. It has expanded over the years to 18 Luxury 1 or 2 bedroom Self-catering Apartments and 16 Bed & Breakfast rooms. They have built 3 schools nearby and many of their guests sponsor the children. Luigis give the police on the checkpoint at 18.54 a free meal everyday. The couple really have put back a lot back into the community and are to be commended for that. 44.58 If you use the side entrance here to Tropic mall, then immediately on your left is a supermarket owned by a Scottish lady - it sells a lot of British goods at a much lower price than others in the area. You asked for comments so I personally found the background music annoying - a bit loud too.

Thanks, I appreciate all of that. As the majority of what you mentioned I didn't know, so it's very informative 🤗. If I'm honest I'm not a fan of Luigis pizza, I'm a bit of a pizza snob, as I lived in Italy for a time. So I prefer Gustos Pizza, if I ever have pizza in Gambia. I'll definitely check out some of the places you mentioned. Especially the supermarket. Noted about the music, thank you 😊

Gambia is very dirty country alot of Garbage on the streets why can't government provide bins or collect waste alot of sand the roads is so sad

I wouldn't say it's a very dirty country. But I would agree that waste management could be a lot better. There definitely needs to be more public bins, waste disposal and to make it accessible to those that don't have much income. Also throwing things away in bins needs to be taught, as I do see people throw rubbish on the floor all the time. I did hear that the previous government had mandatory cleaning days. And was strict on keeping Gambia clean. So it's very possible. But I do think the community needs to change their mindset too. As the government clearly don't care.
