Our Kirkland padlock their dumpster 😥😣, but I went to a home decor store and got 9 Yankee candles, not broken! And 5 that had broken, I removed the glass and now have 14 Yankee candles! FREE!

Cool I fix and sell. I'd ask $75 for that bench, after repairs, and settle for $50. Then buyers think they are scamming me, when I only have pennies into repairs. Lol

Great dive Cam......thanks for taking us along. That bench is amazing! Sadly I am finding a lot more stores in our area locking their dumpsters and destroying stuff. A certain pharmacy near where we met even moved theirs into a locked area

Definitely is happening more often unfortunately. The pharmacy I did have a feeling was only temporary though as I've never seen that store with a dumpster. It was fun while it lasted for sure! :)

Awesome haul as usual... does that Christmas pic with the stars have an opening in the back, It might be paper over the hooks, i would do that instead of breaking glass you could use for that or another, i donated the 10 back packs today to a food bank, it was an amazing feeling... I went diving the other night and went to a dollar tree dumpster. Literally, half the dumpster was full of all sorts of packs of doughnuts, snack cakes, chips, etc and again, literally, they opened every single bag and package. Who seriously has time to do all that? It's so sad and disheartening, especially with the amount of people going hungry I'm this country

I love the Christmas pics!! We found the exact same bench last week😉only problem was they pulled all of the boards apart so my husband had to use a ton of wood good and a nail gun to get it back together. Great haul❤

Bench is gorgeous, and the food Nazis are ridiculous. I wonder if they even think about hungry children when they cut and slash. I live in a rural town, and routinely see children diving for food, and actually consuming onsite what they might find. That seems to speak hunger to me. Old people on fixed income that are too aged or infirm to dive, but live on ramen and cereal come to mind. Sad world.

About 40 - 50 years ago a friend's husband drove a garbage truck in downtown Seattle and picked up stuff behind the major stores like Nordstrom's and the Bon Marche. He found the most amazing things. I can't believe it was that long ago, it seems like a hundred years ago, but pretty current to my way of thinking. You've got me wanting to go dumpster diving but my kids would probably be horrified. I've got to see if I can get a younger friend interested. Such a shame to let things go to waste. We are such a throwaway society it's ruining the earth.

some stores do have cameras, but in my area dumpster diving is legal, so the cameras don't bother me. They are mainly to prevent dumping which is illegal
