Fasting to express gratitude is one of the most important things to me. Every fast Sunday is a fast of gratitude for me, if there is something I specifically need to fast for, that is done another day

I was once invited to fast in gratitude, which was amazing! I'm always hangry during fasting, but I felt so amazing and grateful afterward. I feel like it changed my heart.

Last year it occurred to me that I have so much, even in hard times, why wouldn’t I fast in praise? So I did, and when I went to the temple, I just sat in the celestial room and thanked. Pretty much changed many things in my heart and mind even still. Thank you so much for helping me remember to simply and sincerely sing praises!

Just like the garment of reminders , it’s why we hang temples & pictures of our savior , words of commitments , to be present in our day to day life . This episode has been filled with many good sound advice

Thank you both so much for your presentations I have two things I want to tell you First, thank you for identifying the gospel principles for us to take unto ourselves. So many of these kinds of presentations get so wrapped up in the history and customs that the principal teachings are so vaguely represented Second on the subject of things that remind us of special moments when my mom passed, she had made plans for what to do with everything, on instruction was that everyone who had ever gave her a lovely gift they should receive it back, but how would my sister and I know what came from who, turned out each time she received a gift she put a small label somewhere under or on it because it meant so to her that a person had picked it out for her Do the gifts that God has picked out for us mean as much to us all

This lesson came at the perfect time for me. On our 22nd Wedding Anniversary my husband put divorce papers on my nightstand. This morning he text he didn’t mean to divorce, only wanted to get me in a safe place while he evicted his adult son. I was sick to my stomach, confused. I held jasper and rainbow crystals as I listened. Said a prayer, reached out to 2 friends for support. I had to remember it's been a happier time. He attacks when I am weak. He fights against me and the church. He is a subtitle man doing evil, drugs as an example. If I were to go back he'd poison my happiness to degrees. I need to make a flag of strength to look at.

It occurs to me that in 43:9 the Nephites are preserving the Abrahamic Covenant of land (inheritance) family (posterity) and freedom to worship (gospel and priesthood)

Ch 46 title of liberty. This is a covenant making moment. Cutting, is part of making a covenant , symbolic of sacrifice. Some other places we see this wording: Ruth 1:17 and Alma 24:18 and there are others. The first part, tearing the cloth is about the sacrifice of Christ, then everyone rends their garments symbolically rending their hearts as they covenant with the savior. All received it. I remember as kids we would say, “cross my heart and hope to die…” when we were making a promise. I think that’s interesting.

Girls under 12 had Faith in God booklets as well. It wasn’t a scouting thing it was a Primary program to help those 8-12 years old learn Articles of Faith, read BOM & various goals for activity days. I’m sure you had one Grace 😂
