Breastfeeding is hard no matter what! Do not put any guilt on yourself if it doesn’t work out. Do not listen to anyone who says it’s easy if you do it right. They are wrong. I breastfed my first for 6 months and my second for 6 weeks. They are both healthy, great & wonderful 20 & 13 year olds!

Congrats! I definitely couldn't talk on our drive to the birth center but we found out when we got there that I was already at a 10. My body was pushing involuntarily on the drive there and I almost refused to get out of the car. My husband and midwife worked together to get me to the tub and our daughter was born 20 minutes later. It was wild.

Congrats to you both!!! I gave birth to my daughter last year and ended up needing to use a vacuum to get her out because of the same reason! I didn’t want a c-section either so I am glad the vacuum worked for you! Lottie is so precious! Enjoy this time, it really does go by so fast! ❤️❤️❤️

Yay!! 🎉Congratulations you guys! I had a lot of problems breast feeding for the same reason and the pumps these days are awesome so I ended up pumping a lot so I wasn’t engorged but warm showers helped w that and I did have post pardum eclampsia, ICU for 4 days on a magnesium sulfate drip, blood pressure meds, and benzodiazepines so my seizures were under control. Some nights I cried n cried and then…THE POST PARDUM DEPRESSION HIT! So be as careful as you can with that and reach out for help. You guys are going to be such amazing parents! ❤

One thing I wish people would of told me with my first child. Don't be scared to pump milk and do bottles. Breast feeding is hard! Pumping is great and anyone can feed the baby then!

Your breastfeeding experience is 100% normal!! It is usually about 6 weeks for comfortable breastfeeding and a schedule to develop…. I’m an NICU nurse so I see it all the time!

Awww...she is so precious! Great job mama! That is a long pushing time! I had three by C-section because they were 7 lb babies and my pelvis just does not spread to let them deliver. I am so happy that you were able to push her out. It would be so sweet if she has her daddy's dimples. My granddaughter got her daddy's sweet dimples. Continue the team work for the next 24 years together. That is the best way to parent.

Oh my gosh, Melo reminds me so much of our Mack when our daughter was born just two weeks after Myk. We had three cats: Mack, her son Eddie, and Rocky, who was deaf. Eddie became our alpha male. He would lay across the door to our daughter's room to protect her. There are very few pictures of our daughter as a baby without Eddie in them. Mack was not thrilled with having a baby in the house but learned to tolerate her. Poor Rocky was clueless. We have many pictures of all three cats with our daughter as she grew up. The only time the cats wanted to be in our daughter's crib was when she wasn't in it. Melo will come around. I returned to teaching when our daughter was seven weeks old. By then, she was sleeping in our bed, where she slept for the next year. I needed sleep if I was going to teach high schoolers the next day. I nursed for 13 months, which meant I needed sleep during the night.
