I stopped using pure cotton pads when I learned they were being sued for cancer causing ingredients. Such a shame cause it’s a lot of pads for a good deal but I had to throw mines away after using it on one of my periods🥲🥲🥲

@@KaylaaNyRee yes that’s the one! Had a brain fart for a second😂 but yeah I saw tons of comments under an ad saying that they were being sued for ingredients that caused cancer.

@@Walkinjoy I just looked it up to see what the ingredient would be. They are claiming that because there was a study done on mice while ingesting a large amount of titanium dioxide cause inflammation and genetic changes. They could also be saying that because of the European Food Safety Authority banned the mineral in 2021 because of the study but the data didn’t support the idea that its carcinogenic.There’s been no studies to show that titanium dioxide causes actual cancer in humans. The only thing that I could find about the “L.” Brand and being sued was the fact that they claimed that the tampons were 100% organic. Which the claimant stated that the way titanium Dioxide had to be processed was not organic but it is a natural occurring mineral. Titanium dioxide doesn’t dissolve in water, meaning the nanoparticles aren’t going to dissolve from the tampon string and get into the blood that might be pooling in the v area and then get absorbed by the body. Meaning you don’t have to worry about titanium dioxide nano particles being leaked into your v area. I think I understand the concern because I’m one of the ones that research everything when it comes to our health as women which typically isn’t taken into consideration in America. Thank you so much for pointing that out to me. I will tell you I used to be HUGE on tampons! Every period I would wear them and it was usually Tampax. I would have excruciating pain when wearing them. My cramps became unbearable and only let up a bit when I took medication. I also noticed my period would be 2 weeks! This all happened gradually by the way. It was getting worse and worse. That was just the peak of it all. When I switched to the “L.” Brand tampons I didn’t have that issue with cramping. However I made the conscious decision to wear pads and I haven’t had long periods or excruciating cramping at all and this is going on 1 1/2 years. EDIT: The “L.” Brand used Titanium Dioxide for color vs dyes or bleach.
