Your outfit is too cute! I'm also an adult beginner skater and muslim. I just found your channel and I loveeee the fact that you're a hijabi. Girl ain't too many of us on the ice!

Thank you so much! Dressing up helps me feel less self-conscious at times lol and Omg how exciting!! I love finding other muslim skaters, there aren't really any at my rink that I know of so its comforting to know were out here. And you're so right, I need there to be a hijbi's on ice group chat!!

You did really good, i just started skating this month and i could definitely relate, be fighting the internal battles frfr on the i e when theres more experienced skaters around. But the nausea after doing spins has to studied😅

Thank you, I appreciate that! The internal battles might be the biggest barrier that goes unspoken IMO, but everyone has to start somewhere so make sure you take note of the ways in which you've improved! Trust me, there's someone out there who sees where you're at and wishes that was them

My right crossovers were always weaker because my left leg is not as strong!!! I blame it on driving a car with my right leg only ahha

We all think that once we get to a certain skill set we'll finally feel like a "real skater", but I am convinced it is actually the opposite. There's this calm yet fierce confident energy that can exist at any skill level, and I think that feeling itself is what drives the ability to progress. You must already have sparks of that feeling, or else you wouldn't keep skating or making videos. So just keep building on what you have and you'll get wherever you want to go🫶🌈✨
