Having Kobus also kinda kills the whole idea of the “hunt” where’s the excitement when he can just have a dog sniff the person out. I love dogs. Grew up with a Shepard police dog and kobus seems like he’s not too disciplined. But hey it’s a show. Good work patty!

Police dogs are the same exact way when they are young & learning in the field. You sound very uneducated about working dogs, they don’t get everything right on the first try.

The only way a dog will learn to get it 100% every time is to keep doing it which is why kobus is finding the person. I think it’s more exciting for Kobus to find them than the team do it. He’s going to be an amazing working dog when he’s older! Every dog has to get used to what they’re doing for their life though. He’s already doing absolutely amazing at his job considering there’s hardly any dogs in the bail enforcement industry! It’s a learning curve for everyone including the dog to bring a dog into your job.
