I love how the producers and writers put so much thought into this ending. They wrapped up every storyline so perfectly. So many shows get stale after being on the air for this many seasons, but OTH never disappointed.

Yeah but they didn't allow Lucas to be apart of that ending which was disappointing, despite the fact that the actor didn't come back for that part I feel like it would have been great if everyone put their feelings and pride aside so we, as the fans, could get a badass storyline where Dan shows up to save his son with his other son Lucas who came to save his LITTLE brother but besides that I agree with you

@@cindyrellas_story8504 Dan was a bad father to both of them in a way (wasn’t there for Lucas, pretty much was a bully to Nathan). But I can also see why Lucas was less likely to forgive Dan than Nathan as Dan took away the man who was pretty much Lucas’s dad, and what made it worse was before Dan got sent away to jail for the longest time he made Lucas and Karen and everyone else think that jimmy killed Keith, which was probably what made Lucas and Karen be even more upset at him.

Anyone see the part where Dan slipped the gun into Nathan's pants? Cause Nate didn't have a gun on him after he dropped the empty shotgun, but Dan did. Once he jumped in front of Nate and took the bullet for him, he must've slipped the gun he was holding down Nate's pants as he held onto him. He wanted Nathan to be able to protect himself since he (Dan) was incapacitated.

He gets it from his dad. Throughout the series people tried to kill Dan and he even tried do it himself but somehow he survived all that. You could say he was meant to be alive to risk his life to save his son in the end

It made sense it just Nathan that was there at Dan's end and not Lucas. Dan raised Nathan and was around him his whole life. Lucas only knew Dan as the bad guy.

I actually like Dan a lot and don't want him to die!! I wish he didn't! I know he was a jerk to Nathan in the first few seasons, but after he shot Keith, he really tried to be a better guy. I think Lucas and Nathan should have forgiven him before all of this happened. At least have them try to forgive him and see what it would be like letting him back into their life because you could tell that Dan regretted what he did and how hard he was trying to be a better person.

This whole storyline just felt really out of place. I know James only signed on for half of the season and they needed a reason to write Nathan out, and I LOVED Dan’s redemption, but this felt like an entirely different show.
