My mom has an ‘80s Mickey Mouse sweater and she wore it on a trip to Europe one summer. She was in Germany in line for an ATM and this guy in front of her noticed the sweater and said “Disneyland, you’re from America”? My mom thought he was trying to make friendly conversation so she told him yes. BIG MISTAKE because he immediately went in a tirade about how they don’t want Americans there and they don’t need their money. It scared my mom so much that she got out of line and walked away. She never wore that sweater again for the rest of the trip.
