I love thrifting! When I got married back in 2013 I didn't want to wear a wedding dress, just a nice dress and I couldn't find anything, then one day I just randomly walked into a charity shop and found a dress, which I wore on my wedding day, for £6! Now myself, my hubs and our kids all wear 2nd hand clothes, I'm currently wearing a new one that I absolutely love. Thrifting is something I've always done, as we were very poor growing up, and now I just hate fast fashion

LOL Also I don't know how it is in Denmark, but if I have found that ceramic food container (it was super cute by the way) and thought it was to pricy for it's condition, I would have taken it to the register and asked if they would be willing to come down in price. Worse thing they could say is no.

I've been surprised how much really good patchwork fabric I have managed to find in thrift shops. The fabrics I buy are put to good use as I sew for the Days For Girls charity which makes menstruation kits which are sent to developing countries, helping to keep girls attending school who don't have access to period products.DfG also work with women in there countries to sew the components and set up small businesses selling the kits.

My mother in law introduced me to thrift shopping maybe 15 to 20 years ago … since then I rarely purchase anything new … even before I decided I wanted to live a lower waste life style … still one of favorite places to shop even if I don’t find anything

Don’t have many thrift shops near me so I stick to online and have a dig around charity shops when I can- I love when people ask where I get my clothes from and it’s a second hand item ! X

I love thrift shopping! The majority of our (me, kids, hubby) clothes is thrifted. The best way to shop in my eyes. I also found a spice container like the one you found a few weeks ago and I couldn't believe it. I love it. Also, love your style! I need to live my best life too and just go with it. Hugs ❤

I love that you take us thrifting with you! I always visit thrift stores when I travel somewhere, they give a nice insight into what people have in their homes especially in Scandinavia where you don’t often get invited into the actual homes. ♥️

Aalborg does have some great thrift stores. I really loved Blå Kors in City Syd and Mission Afrika in Vejgaard. The latter having the strangest, yet so diverse and fun selection. Bought heaps of clothes for my daughter during the first 6 months, they were so good with pricing! And Kirkens Korshær! I've moved back to Fyn and I'm telling you... there's a few of them here and I will seek them out anywhere - nothing beats those stores on price or selection. They are amazing! Happy thrifting to all :D
