Haha wow! I remember this commercial. I grew up in Erin Mills. It was okay. Very very boring. Fairly safe back then. Mississauga has changed so much now. You wouldn't recognize it if you travelled into the future from 1985 to now. Sad

I too grew up in Erin Mills (mid 70's-2005) and yes, there is little comparison between the Erin Mills in this commercial to what it has grown into today. I remember this commercial and others like it. There was one, I remember watching being filmed from behind the scenes on the large hill near where I lived and went to school. It was quite the thrill as a young kid to see the segment in a commercial later on.

@@johnkaminsky1657 the large hill? Do you mean The Big Hill at Brookmede Public School? We used to go tobogganing down that hill. It was huge when we were little kids. Haha

I agree. So boring, but yes safe.. except when Barbara Turnbull was shot and paralyzed at the convenience store. We were all shocked. Us kids were scared.

@@SuperFrise Yup, the 'Big Hill' as we called it. I attended Brookmede from K-5. In fact, I lived in the townhouse complex right beside the hill. There was a real nasty jump at the bottom of the hill that didn't become visible until you got right up to it as you were coming down. At the point, it was usually too late to avoid and you just held on for life!

@@SuperFrise I remember that. Never would have thought that was in Erin Mills.

I appreciate this commercial now, but I have got to tell you that Erin Mills was one of the most boring places back then. Actually, all of Mississauga was. It was so depressing. There was even a postcard that was completely black and it said: "Mississauga at Night". Hahaha My friends and I used to get a kick out of it when we'd see it. We knew exactly what it meant. I am telling you, Mississauga was extremely boring in the 80s and 90s and before.
