I’m a tech on a med surg unit as well and we clean , bathe, help shower,etc. Basically whatever daily activities they’d need assistance with

Some hospitals would also let you take blood sugar readings, change bedsheets, take out pt trash, etc I started working as a PCT on April 13th and it was terrifying at first but after shift three I started to get an hang of it and started catching on super fast ! You got this!

Girl get you a ORORO heated jacket. I got put on by a nurse that I work with. The battery pack is slim and compact, about half the size of an iPhone & is rechargeable usb C. You just press the little button and it heats up, then your little button lights up blue and all your co-workers will ask you about it! They make some really cute looking ones for both women and men, look good with scrubs and really perfect for anyone who works in a cold ass place (every hospital) lol

I just completed my CNA program. Just waiting for my license, which I know will take a little bit. Today, I did fingerprints and my interview. I will be on the Med Surge/Oncology unit as a PCT. Night shift. Im excited to start working.

Hey , If you put your mind to it. You really can . It’s really about your mental and you would really have to prepare and train your body to work long hours every nd to keep going . I know because I done work 7days before nd my check was fabulous🥹.

Either a 12 or 16 hour shift. But that’s really only in hospitals .

Here in Fl it’s 8hrs , 12hrs and 16hr shifts u just do less days! I’m a PCT at a hospital we do 12hrs. 7p-7a and vice versa with 3 days a wk!

On a reg night we have 10 patients but you can sometimes get up to 15 . I live in Louisiana
