I think I wasn’t clear about the singing part 😆... it was a fun game where I had to repeat the song and people had to guess what I was singing to win prizes. I knew about it and agreed to it beforehand.. no one pressured me ☺️ just something overcame me in the moment and I froze.. it’s not ones fault and it happens, I just wanted to include it Bc it was my reality.. things don’t always go as planned.

I was recently diagnosed with PCOS and my self esteem has been hit so hard with the combination of cystic and hormonal acne on top of dermatillomania (skin picking disorder). Your simple statement made me realise it's not my fault and I shouldn't be ashamed.

Yea I felt the same 🤷‍♀️ it was about 12 years ago.. so photoshop wasn’t what it was and they said they didn’t want the extra work/to use it 😣😣

You could have a person with the most gorgeous skin in the world, but if she doesn't know how to act in front of a camera it's no use. Whoever turned you down was incredibly short-sighted. Usually it's because the employers/agencies/companies, for lack of a better word, were self-entitled AHs. It's only about them, spending less than what they budgeted; it's all about them spending no effort (some don't even honor you with their presence) to get them money and inflate the already oversized ego. A lot of industries were like that, some still are. But take for example, the movie and music industries, where the "independents" came along and stirred the pot, and things aren't just the same--that is, there is more than one road to success now.

A lot of places having pimples makes them scared that they will have to spend extra money on a professional editor and not just the photographer and their editing skills. I have arrived to shoots where in the fineprint it would say if the model is not exactly what they expect from the portfolio (of professional edited images) they reserve all rights to cancel the model any time... :(

When you talked about your insecurities and bad experiences due to acne, it really hit home. I've been suffering from fungal acne these past few months and 'my self-esteem has gone down since then. At the time, you were handling it well, and looked so cute, I didn’t really think about what an uncomfy experience it was for you. I’ve totally felt that sudden urge to cry before. It actually usually comes over me during (or after) job interviews, oddly enough. Glad you made it through- moments like that are tough, but you are tougher! Side note: I actually modeled for my first campaign a few months back. In the end, it got cancelled because of COVID lay-offs, but it was a great experience. I could see how doing it day in and day out would become emotionally exhausting, though.

For school I had to do an online zoom presentation because of COVID and for some reason it was way more stressful doing it online than in person... Well Done Taylor! - Whenever we are doing things outside our comfort zone it is both exciting and scary. You did really well! I can appreciate how overwhelming it can be in the moment with so much going on, and when things are not going to plan there is even more of an added pressure, even when things are going well it can be overwhelming.
