My son lives in what was my in-laws home that was built in 1915. His home has several features that are in your home. The fireplace mantle in that first room looks just like one in his bedroom. There’s a swinging door between the kitchen and dining room.

Totally agree with you about the fireplace tiles. Normally I'm a proponent of preserving historical details, but I would make an exception for those tiles (the ones in the diningroom and your mother's suite).

I love everything! I live in a house from the 1800's as well but haven't been as brave as you yet! Little nervous to take on some of the fixer upper jobs. LOL Absolutely LOVE the chandeliers. Have been looking for one for a while now. Unfortunately, I don't live in an area that has good thrift stores. Hopefully, I'll find one while on Summer break. So glad I found your channel!

I am from New England. Many old houses have small closets because back in the olden days, people's homes were taxed on their closet size and how many they had. I don't know where your house is, but maybe that is why your closets may be small.

No it doesn’t! An old overhang off the side of the home that was for the horse and buggy!

The porch ceilings are painted blue to match the sky to prevent wildlife from making nests; also hornets, bees etc.
