2:43 "Close my ass tightly" 🤔 Her whole verse was sub par compared to the original Flatts verse. The phrasing she chose was weird and contrived. He enunciation of certain words didn't fit the flow of the song. 1:55 for example, where Gary sang it "you're prob-ly asleep" and pronounces it with the informal way of saying probably. She pronounces probably traditionally which adds syllables and doesn't flow as well with the movement of the song. She also adds too much to certain parts vocally. She's more concerned about her ego and trying to showcase her vocals, rather than servicing the song. Adding unnecessary power or emphasis in certain areas, takes away from the flow of the song. It muddies the water because the peaks and valleys aren't in the spots that best let the song shine. That will probably only make sense to other musicians. It just wasn't a great rendition by her, in my opinion.
