I cannot tell you how much I’ve been looking forward to this video! It did not disappoint. When I saw it was almost an hour I startled my cat when I said YES!, lol, after seeing that. Some of those costumes were so lovely. I think my favorite was that woman who had on that men’s breeches and coat. I’m glad you had a better time this year and a great time with your friends. Very much looking forward to the haul and updated projects video as well as the finished court gown video. I thought that skit y’all did with Queen Charlotte was hilarious. I suppose she did not find a Diamond, but each and every one of you knocked it put of the park! Such a unique take. Hollywood should take a cue from y’all and create period accurate regency court gowns, imho. Thanks for taking us along. It was quite a treat!

Hey loved your hair at the end with the blue dress, the style suits you. I'd love the Pinterest guy's opinion on her clothing.

What a lovely video. I love that you share your Costume College experience here. In the past, with low-priced silk, I'd have made a full-circle, full-length houpellande (possibly parti-coloured, depending how much of each silk I could get hold of at that price) with massive dagged sleeves lined in a contrasting colour, but since I now overheat at the drop of a hat, so hardly take part in any costume events myself, I'd be looking to make something for a friend instead... Sso I guess I'd be looking at making a late 1860s/early 1870s gown as those styles really appeal to me.

Single knot best for hairline the most realistic, double knot for strength. I don’t like split knots because directionality. Blonde hair is ideal to hide the knots. Dark hair the knots are more noticeable if you are going for realism so people tend to bleach the knots.

Your Christina Ricci dress from Sleepy Hollow is so lovely... I recently saw a video showcasing Edith Head and her contemporaries and it included this dress which was created by Colleen Atwood for that film. A little trivia you may or may not know about that dress is that it was off white silk taffeta but the black stripes were hand-drawn with a magic marker and highlighted with a thin green stripe added to each side of the black stripes! 🖤🖤🖤

I love your costume, and it inspired me to look for the book. Sadly, my huge regional library doesn't have "Miss Pettigrew..." Grrr. Unrelated: I'd never heard of face blindness until the hysterical "Trial & Error". Sherri Shepherd's role is a face blind member of a legal team. Her comedic genius shines, along with John Lithgow and all the rest. Worth a watch IMHO, even for people without face blindness.
