The true charm of the garden center is how your parents have kept and honored so many of the original elements. The seed drawers/bin and old scale…it adds so much.

Yes! I see issues about this with interior design where people switch in and out of modern/contemporary design to rustic/organic design. I love how they kept everything as is, and does not feel the pressure to automate everything.

I absolutely love that Andrew’s does not succumb to the temptation of new technology. Seeing their business ran in such a unique, but tried and true fashion is so refreshing. Love the old bins, scales, cash register. My favorite garden center by far!

I’m so happy you took us to the garden centre to do mundane, everyday chores at the seed cabinets!!! What a delight to know all the years they have given life to so many generations of gardens…….so amazing that the centre is still such a viable part of the community. We here in rural South Carolina struggle as old family businesses close one after another. Your channel is a beacon of hope in this insane world.

I’m from South Carolina as well and we are experiencing the exact opposite. Our local garden stores are doing great ! People seem to be excited about growing their own food , lawn maintenance, and yard work ( of all things😂 ). Sometimes we have to spend a little more or drive a little farther, but finding those small garden centers are worth the effort. Wishing your area of SC a very Merry Christmas !

I know I don’t have to tell you to count your blessings everyday. You are so very blessed to live in the same area as the rest of your family. The gift of being able to raise your children where they can see and really get to know their grandparents is beyond words. I have never had that gift and it’s something I have always been envious of when I meet someone who has. Even now in my old age all my family live several states away. Laura , it is soooooo satisfying to get a shop in order! There is a rhythm to evaluation-correction-distribution of the displays. Sometimes by function or by color while keeping in mind the sight lines and impact from every view and keeping it all looking fresh and new and ...wanted! It's a lot like the satisfaction of cleaning up a flowerbed at a season change to enjoy what remains while prepping for what comes next. So glad you and Monica had an afternoon together while spiffing up Andrews Seed 😊
