He messed up the first trick; it was a *switch* backside lipslide, but he called it a backside lipslide
@theramatubeАй бұрын
@@pyropulseIXXI he absolutely didn't. He said switch since the very beginning. "Dropping in switch..., backside lipslide on that rail." In my opinion, this is one of (if not) the most accurate and complete commentary in a skate contest.
@theramatubeАй бұрын
@@pyropulseIXXI another example at 1:46 when he said "coming in switch, for a backside tailslide". That clearly described a switch back tail, just in a more descriptive way as it goes.

It’s his own fault hes underscored. Ginwoo’s greatest weakness is he’s very limited in his trick variation, so as the contest progresses, he starts getting docked points for repeating different variations of the same tricks. Until he or his father recognize he’s gotta learn more than just the same 5 kickflip/fs blunt/bstail tricks, he’ll continue to get underscored

Japan is dominating both men and women skateboarding scenery because they figured out there's money in it., it's a job with zero room for failure. It's in their culture. Other countries skateboarding is just a hobby and a fun sport, if they win or loose it's all the same. The Samurai mentality and ultimate camp training and preparation is definitely paying off for these young athletes.....
