It doesn't matter what concept a girl group does, they'll get hated on for it. Examples: Do you want female groups who do the sexy concept? There's Hello Venus, AOA, Sistar, etc. Do you want female groups who do the cute concept? There's A-Pink, Lovelyz, etc. Do you want female groups who do the badass concept? There's Sonamoo, D-Unit, Evol, Glam, 2ne1, etc. Do you want female groups who focus more on vocals? There's Spica, Mamamoo, etc. Do you want female groups who do all kinds of concepts? There's SNSD, f(x), Kara, etc. Well guess what? They all get hate for whatever they do. Cheesy, overrated, try hards, sluts, wannabes, they all get criticized when they do something and when they change, they get demands to go back to their old style. This is how the Kpop fandom works and sadly, it doesn't look like it'll change anytime soon.

We went to Korea this December and our tourguide said something like this: "Men dominate the society" and although it wasn't directed for Kpop, it definitely shows something. Like what you said, whatever girl groups would do, they would get hate. But for boy groups, when they're too sexy or too cute, fangirls would just be all over them and it's really quite unnerving.

Way way better than yesterday, all the lead vocals needed was to NOT sing as loud as they did yesterday, especially Seoyoung although Alice missed a few notes yesterday too during her 2nd verse because she was singing a bit too loud. With today's performance I like the song better, although I'll probably enjoy the studio version the best.

I miss old Venus, but... I guess this is whats in now. I want a super cute group to come out that has tons of personality like old Venus did. Something about aegyo is so unique to Korea - it's a shame its no longer in style for idols. Whatever, this song isn't ridiculously bad but I don't imagine this charting or sweeping the world by storm. It really feels weird to say "Hello Venus did a butt dance", these girls will always be the cute happy innocent friends in my eyes and I don't know if I can stick around to see them change that. I'm happy to see them still active but they're really a estimate to how much kpop has changed and what the appeal is now.

Agreed... I used to really like the old cute/innocent concept of HV (was never a Cupid, didn't have time). But it's somehow nice to know that there are groups like Laboum or MinX that are a mix of unique and cute. I would take overly cute aegyo concepts over the 'here's my butt' overly sexy concepts. It's sad to know that awesome (yet underrated) groups like HV have to be sexy in order to be recognized.

Okay 1st, basically half of all the girl groups will end up doing sexy concepts. And 2015 ended up being Hello Venus' time. Why does everybody have to say that? It gets me so pissed. If you want cute concepts then go to Crayon Pop or their subunit group, Strawberry Milk, or something. Girls shaking their butts, hip thrusting and hip rolling there's nothing wrong with that. But oh no, if it's a guy that's extremely okay! Also, just because they're doing a sexy concept doesn't mean that they're not innocent anymore. And if you 'don't know if you want to stick around for it' clearly shows that you're weren't a true fan.

Imagine that next year, because sexy concepts are so popular, Strawberry Milk releases a song called Wiggle Wiggle and it's all filled with butt wiggling. That's literally whats going on here. No true fan is angry that girls are being sexual, but this is a group that was formed on aegyo and was a veeeeery heavily aegyo group until their group split up, the drama caused them to be even less popular, and they resorted to this in desperation to make money again and to change their image to be more male-friendly since thats what the groups need to be now. That's the situation, I like kpop because its cute and fun. It's not a "Sexy concept" anymore if the full overall concept of the group is now sexy. They gave them all makeovers from an innocent friendly appeal to a sexy appeal, and thats their company's decisions for money.

Tbh their vocals got away from "Yoo Ara ft. Hello Venus" to "Hello Venus". Yoo Ara was great but she wasn't really a big loss to the group lbr. Lime sings great, Yooyoung surprised everyone with Sticky Sticky, Alice has always been great but producers loved Ara more. And Nara? Well there's got to be one shit in the group. Also Yeoreum and Seoyoung are top notch singers. (Yeoreum just has to fill the "meh" vocalist position in the group and Seoyoung, well I'm guessing most Cupids find her style fucking annoying.) Don't even start me with Yoonjo bec she had like 2 or 3 lines in every song and she barely sang them. Wish I saw more of her though. She's like another Nara. TL;DR: They got better

IDGAF what anybody says, this song has a really great beat, and it's not overly sexy, and not akward. I love it. No one cares that you guys want the old Venus back, THEY'RE NOT COMING BACK. So deal, or go home lol simple. And I think I'm the only one who loves the simplicity of their outfits! Like not EVERY groups comeback wardrobe has to consist of bulky, bright, unmatching costumes that literally make you think, who the fuck put it together, but you only like it because your favorite idol or group is wearing it. I love everything about this and the new them. The vocals were quite shakey, but no artist has 100% every single performance. With that said, HWAITING! HELLO NEW VENUS ;)

I need to hear the studio version before I decide if I hate it or love it. So far I like certain parts of the song, but I also feel like brave brothers dropped the ball somewhere in production, the song doesn't feel like it's one whole melody and the part with seoyoung is so random I feel like it would better without it. I wish they promoted whisky instead of wiggle wiggle but alas.. As for their costumes I want one in my closet right now. I would wear the hell outta those velour track suit things. The one thing that keeps me going with this song is that the uncle fanchants are loud as ever.
