It's more of an allegory. We all start as children until time devours us. Hence why Saturn is also known Kronos. He has many names but the constant is the inability to escape time as a human. Gaia (Earth) has been around for thousands of years, Ouranos (Uranus, air) as well. We are the children of that relationship. Saturn wields a sickle. The reaper and harvester. None will escape.
