Same here. After movie I google and WIKI Gram Parsons. Didn't know this all actually happened between Parsons and Kaufman. It is crazy how this all played out. Stealing coffin from the airport and driving across the country with the coffin. Just to fulfill a pact and Parson wishes. What a great movie.

This wasnt called The Last Wish when i saw it years & years ago. It was called Grand Theft Parsons because it is true. It's about musician Gram Parsons and the roadie he asked to burn his casket when he died. That is now famous Michael Shannon as "the hippie". I think its all in the descript. I wonder why they changed the title.

I was 16 or 15 when we bought Gram Parsons first album. We didn't know he was already dead. (pre-internet) I say, "we" because we all shared our cassette tapes. We went nutz! That dude turned on 3 music fans to alt-Country and opened up vistas to a bunch of dumbass kids who just loved American music. He was one dude, but he was HUGE influential.
