Ok wait this is a small thing I never noticed before: At the end, Fisher takes Junior by the tentacle as he leads him away from the planes. Back in the Stolen Century, baby Fisher didn't understand what that gesture meant when Magnus was pulling him along by the hand/tentacle/whatever, like that wasn't a thing that Voidfish did. Fisher learned that from its dad Magnus and now does it with its child.

Like I knew magnus was human and that he was always going to go before taako and Merle but having to hear it? Having to listen to taako and Merle continuing on and then griffin just says “I have only one question, and that is. How does magnus die?” My heart dropped, I felt like everything just stopped in that second, it all went quiet and then it started again. That small voice break when he said “calmly” just broke my heart and then they had to end it with magnus catch phrase. “Magnus rushes in” like? I don’t think I really ever realized how attached I got to magnus. His affinity for carving wooden ducks, his never-ending kindness and optimism, his jokes, just everything that made magnus. These character weren’t just a podcast I picked up, they became family. And I am so honored I got the chance to listen to these stories and laugh, cry, get angry, with these characters. I will always love the adventure zone and the characters they make, the stories they tell and most of all the family I get to be apart of. Thank you. And thank those who are listening to the podcast and or reading this comment, I may not know you but you are family to me and god....You are going to be Amazing.

1:18:48 is essentially the end of the "Final Boss" and one of the first emotional peaks of the episode. That was the last time the boys rolled a dice in the game Dungeons and Dragons, but there was still more than half of the episode left. I knew the ending was great and there was a lot of it, I just didn't realise how much of this episode was literally the boys talking between themselves and taking us through so many emotional moments.

I'll never forget them, Magnus, Merle, Taako, Lup, Laquisha, Davenport, Fisher, Angus, and many many more. they'll always have a special place in my heart. And while the adventure is over in our eyes, theirs continues on. We know they live on happily, and that's all we could ever hope for them. They deserved this happily ever after. Thanks, Mcelroys, for the best listen of my life.

Griffen.... you remembered, you always remembered the first rule of improv: yes and. I think that is how you got this far.

The thing about Magnus's end made me cry. Not because it was sad, like I felt sad the world lost an amazing person but he lives a full life and he finally got to see Julia again and I'm happy for him and her but yeah emotions

This right here. This right here was the first thing to make me cry in a while, both tears of sadness and happiness. I've spent a YEAR on just the balance arc alone. And knowing that this was the end of the first group of friends I was going to meet broke me down. It hurt, seeing how once this story was done and over, that was it. No more merle. No more magnus. No more takko, lup, davenport, no more anyone from this story because the campaign was over. And to be honest, I didn't want It to end. This was my first ever podcast and my first introduction to the world of Dungeons & Dragons. This was not only an adventure for the people in the story, but for the listeners as well. and when I heard Istus say that 5 word sentence. Even though it was directed at our adventurers, I knew it was also directed at us! So from one Adventure Zone fan to another I bring you one final sentence. You're going to be amazing.

Wanted to re listen to this. Surprised how many people are still finding and loving it as much as we did when it first came out.

Here we are. First journey through this masterpiece, a milestone whirlwind of emotions and laughs. Been following these boyes through thick and thin, through highs and lows, and now to the final step of their adventure. We've been here for years, through a dozen arcs and more character growth than aging up with the Harry Potter kids. All from the D&D5e starter kit. And they STILL don't know how goddamn Concentration works!
