Absolutely beautiful, what a man, so appreciate your words of wisdom Tofiga, I'm 63 years old and to hear your inspiring words about you, your beautiful wife, your beautiful sons your loss of loved ones, you being a proud Samoan has brought me back down to earth and to question my own morals and beliefs. I thought I had all the bases covered but after listening to this podcast and your words of wisdom and real life's experiences Tofiga, I take a knee and praise you for filling in the gaps that I thought I had covered. You are truly an amazing man, I along with no doubt many others so appreciate you, and a huge hats off to the MANDATE Podcast team, we love all that yous represent and stand for. Nga mihi nui ki a koutou katoa, kia mau tonu koutou katoa ki te tino pono e whakaatuhia ana e koutou katoa (Thank you to you all, may you all maintain the realness that you all portray).😍

This man is a legend and an icon! I can't tell you the amount of boys that made the 'Uncle Sam' fob uncle their personality at school even though they were dry. Tofiga's work is timeless! A true legend.

The bald guy May struggled to articulate his questions but I can see how in awe he was from Tofigas charismatic calibre, I too can relate. He had some valid points and Tofiga throughout always showed fa’aaloalo in the interview. Well done to you all.

Well done, that was a great podcast, lol. I agree Tofiga, for Samoans, there is no school for comedy....our life experiences became our material, lol..., when you've lived through it, that's how we tell it... Samoans, naturally love to laugh and tell jokes, and our timing can be impeccable 😂 Tofiga, thanks for sharing - alofas to you and your aiga.

So true, time does not heal. I got poisoned in Wellington months ago and I am still going through pains. Yet I am trying my best to live through it all. Back in Auckland now, anyways sorry for not listening to the rest of this video and only stopped at 1:02. Love your work Tofiga and Mandate ❤

This man is so genuine, funny, loving and simply incredible. I started watching he’s standup about 2 years ago and was instantly hooked, the island culture really shines through he’s standup. Identity issues, youth social issues and mental health issues are so common in this era, we’ve lost our ways through migration, cultural traditions/practices and the lack of acceptance/acknowledgment from the “system”. I’m not just referring to islanders, I’m speaking for all cultures, I’m a first generation Greek living in Australia and it’s the same thing here, facing racial discrimination as a kid.

It's refreshing to see how your comedic style remains clean and relatable, which is rare in today's comedy scene. Your mother's wisdom shines through in your words and actions, and your dedication to supporting youth groups is truly commendable and inspiring. Your partnership with Ete as 'The Laughing Samoans' has brought joy to countless people across the South Pacific and beyond. Keep spreading smiles and positivity-your impact is truly global.
