I have the answer to Tackleberry's son. He was one of the magical soap opera children who age normally during their first year, then magically age up from 1 year old to ten years old after a few weeks out of sight. When they age up, they have to hibernate otherwise their growth and magic abilities are compromised.

If you didn't know, there is a script for a third film titled "Revenge of the Old Queen" (you can find it online) -- but it's been shelved for ages as Richard O'Brien couldn't get funding and eventually moved on to other projects. I wish he'd just toss it out as a cheap cap to the intended trilogy. I need more of his music in my life.

The first two films are really funny still, kinda, but after that they went right down the shitter. Great video though and cool use of locations. All that was missing was Zed's poem "Jean Jean Made A Machine". Will you ever do all the various versions of War of the Worlds for a Sci-Fi Timelines, by the way?

To be fair, nobody ever got raped at the Blue Oyster Bar, they only danced.I really do love this series (excluding 7), The cast is phenomenal and comedy is great. I agree that they could have done much more with many of the characters. And I may be wrong, but I don't think Tackleberry ever shoots anybody in the series, not even in a comical shoot them in the but way. Even in Part 6 he takes down the evil shooter using a bola whip if I remember right. Otherwise an incredible trip back to the 80's with many fond memories. Good Job!!!

Great show Mr. Movie Timelines. I was wondering, were you anxious or something during some of that location filming? As you seemed to be a bit breathless toward the end there, like you couldn't wait to get the hell out of that cage possibly? (I was wondering as I'm a touch claustrophobic and anxious myself, I thought I could sense some tension there. Anyway, my apologies for being a bit nosey 😌 thanks again for another edifying episode).
@movietimelines5 жыл бұрын
haha. i was anxious because every time i started to film, people were coming around, and i would have to stop filming, as it's a public park. also, i had limited time as my daughter was a little cranky. you can hear her at the end looking for me.

Have you done an AMA, maybe on Reddit or here? I have a question to include: how do you research the cover dates for the various magazines, comic books, posters, etc., that don't have a date on them? Is there a website for that research or maybe Wikipedia?

Have you ever considered covering the "Beethoven" movies? I just attempted to watch them all, and admittedly failed. But the first five have a surprisingly tight continuity. Then the next two also (as far as I could tell) have a separate, but potentially good continuity (I didn't finish them).

The blue oyster bar joke wasn’t really about possible rape. It’s a little bit more complex than that and it’s more a joke on the borderline Homosexual relationship of the secondary antagonist duo who wander into the bar. On top of subverting the tropes with it being both a biker bar and gay bar (all they do is make them dance). Along with sub text on submission and domination because of the similarities between biker gear and BDSM fetish gear for the time.(The wanderers face actual dominance vs Their false dominance.)
