What’s even funnier is that when the writers came up with Duke Silver, they originally did it as a joke, only to find out that Nick Offerman actually knows how to play the saxophone in real life. It was a complete coincidence.

Apparently, Ron's passion for woodworking comes from an interview they did with Nick for the role, and he happened to be in his woodshop at the time. Whatever Ron Swanson started as, he basically just became Nick Offerman.

I'm very confused, i thought the show only had 3 seasons (with the third season starting with the London trip)? I thought it ended when Leslie got into office or whatever (i didn't finish that season all the way through). Im pretty sure i did see the unity episode. Did Netflix just combine the seasons differently? Or is there a lot more I'm missing?

I used to think that Leslie not knowing Ron's alter ego was a fun twist, cause she knew everything (or at least everything Ron let slip) about him, more than anyone else. Now I realize it's just another attribute to how great of a friend she was. This was one of Ron's deepest secrets, one he didn't want his coworkers to find out, and Leslie was the only one who didn't find out. He revealed his alter ego to her when he wanted to.

She wasn’t the only one who didn’t know. Ben didn’t know. Chris didn’t know. Ann didn’t know. Donna probably didn’t know (I say probably because at the Unity Concert, she didn’t seem too surprised about him). Jerry almost found out but didn’t. The only ones that found out before the Unity Concert are Mark, Tom, April and Andy.
