I love how B99 has all the characters break stereotypes Jake is a goofball who is actually a great detective Amy is a nerd who is a badass police officer Charles being the character he is would be too soft and not get with anyone but got with the most amount of women in the show Terry is a muscular dude with a heart of gold Rosa is a badass with actually a fun past Holt is a gay cop who is stoic instead of portrayed as flamboyant And Hitchcock and Scully break the stereotype of good looking cops getting over their prime

Also, Charles was the dogged nice guy who was constantly trying to win Rosa's affections. Instead of Rosa falling in love, Charles apologized for being creepy, and they ended up being good friends.
