I got to see Charlie Murphy in one of the last performances that he did before he died. He looked terrible, but he was still ridiculously funny. I told my boyfriend at the time that I was concerned that he might be on drugs or something. Turns out the "or something" was him being very sick-He died shortly after. I think that Charlie knew that his time was short and he wanted to do one last tour before he couldn't do it anymore.
