Pumpsie Green was my mentor, instructing and giving me pointers, not knowing he played pro ball. He taught me the foot drag turning two when I was eight. Outstanding man...

Bosox passed on a 17-year-old Willie Mays they could have had for $4500 in 1949. Imagine how good Mays in Centre and Ted Williams in Right would have been, 2 x All-Time Top 5s for their positions playing at the same time

So did the Yankees! 18 yr old Willie Mays played in a showcase against a semi pro team managed by an old Yankee scout who literally begged someone to come out and sign Mays before the then NY Giants beat them to it.

@7:57 when he said "Lawrence Taylor Chrysler.. Come take a crack at our prices. We're breaking the legs of high prices." Patrice didn't know the guy's name but it was Joe Theismann of the Washington Redskins who they were talking about. LT broke Joe's leg in a game and ended his career. It was an accident but very brutal just the same.

I grew in a mixed neighborhood in Boston (Dorchester) it's black white Latino mostly. People have issues and opinions. everyone, but we mostly got along. The blue collar and poor of all races. The racist fucks you are talking about are the Brahman Protestant or lace curtain Irish that owned these teams that live in Wellesley, Auburndale, Newtonville, Brookline etc....far from my neighborhood in many ways. I don't think Boston is the worst racist place. I have been to worse places. There are racists in every group even black, Latino, and Chinese. By the way I am Native AMERICAN.
