The Robin Williams’ inspired homeless outreach idea is absolutely beautiful. He would’ve loved that. Way to go Margaret Cho! ❤️🙌 We should bring that back to San Francisco again in 2024, our homeless really could use the extra love.

I absolutely love her and i think she (along with debra wilson) is the funniest stand up comedian and the most talented. But what has always sort of intrigued me, is that it is kind of interesting that she mentions the beauty of Asian women, because by asian standards , and i mean real asian standards in asia, where i have lived for 30 years, married to a Japanese lady, lived in Korea, China, Vietnam, Thailand, .... (no i don't have yellow fever i have date on ly two asian women in my life, and married the second one and moved to her country 30 years ago), she is not considered beautiful at all. She is actually really ugly by asian standards in Asia. I wonder if she is aware of that. Sandra Oh s not beautiful in Asia either by the way, but at least Oh looks adorable by asian standards like Hello Kitty, but not beautiful. But Margret would have never had this career were she born in Asia, especially in Korea where you can only succeed as a woman if you are insanely beautiful. In Asia Tattoos are not considered beautiful at all, they are considered the mark of the lowest of the low people, only the prisoners and gangsters (and not in a good way) hav e tattoos in Asia. This comes from the fact that when bab people were arrested in the old days, they were tattoos by the police to let everyone kn ow what crime they had been found guilty of. So in order to hide it, the gangster would tattoo over the police tattoo they had to hide what they had done, and this is why the more a person was tattooed the more it meant that he had been arrested. For non gangster people to get a tattoo in asia is social suicide, they will never be hired by companies, they will never be allowed on certain places and they can forget about hot springs, pool, and beaches as they will be banned or removed from any place the tattoo is visible. So to have a person deliberately inking herself (especially a woman) by asian standards, it makes her look like trash and i do mean real trash. In Japan she would not be granted access to half the places with her tattoos, and she would be stopped by the police endlessly for identity check, same in Korea and China. Actually in south Korea she would be arrested and escoerted to the airport as tattoos are forbidden there when they are visible, so she would have to cover them all the time. Her face is way too big by asian standards, she is also way too overweight and being fat in asia is as bad as being tattooed for a woman. So yes, many asian women are beyond beautiful (starting with my wife), but sadly Margaret is not one of them. Also i am sorry to say it, but actually when you have lived in Asia long enough you also realize that actually the vast majority of asian women are quite dumb, not just on purpose (they do have to play the dumb card to get a man or a job, yes in asia at an interview you have to act dumb to get the job, unless the interviewer is a woman and it is rarely a woman). I personally have been very surprised at how dumb some women are in Asia. I realized after 20 years in Japan that i actually spoke and wrote and read better Japan ese than most Japanese women between 15 and 25 years old. That really shocked me. And don't get me wrong, this applies to guys too. I would say that guys are particularly dumb in Asia because they are never challenged and so they act like the roosters among hens and way above their IQ. I as a foreigner have to play dumb around asian men so they do not hate me. Margaret says it herself, the amount of beautiful asian women with busted white guys is insane, and you see it here in Asia to. I was particularly surprised how western men in asia are treated like models when in the west they would not even get a date with blind people. I was offered at least 30 modelling jobs in Asia, and never offered one in the west. Of course i took them all because it was easy and good money, but deep down i kn ew that this was just the exoticism they liked (tall, blond, green eyes blah blah) but some western men in asia believe they actually are supermodel because they got offered one job or because one asian woman told them they look like one. I was very lucky my wife thought of me as very average but with potential, based on my degrees and my conversation, the fact that i spoke 6 languages and mastered japanese quite easily, so she thought i wasn't too dumb and had earning potential, but that was not my looks. She earns 3 times more than me and she still stays with me, so i guess she must like me somehow ! That or the fact that asian men would divorce her the second she earned more than them because they could never take the pressure or the humiliation. I don't care if she earns 3 times or a million times more than me, my ego is not related to my bank account. But i was surprised by how many asian girls go with western guys because just like asian girls, when asian men decide to be good looking, boy or boy, they put any western men in the shade, i mean i never want to stand next to Kaneshiro takeshi or the late Godfrey Gao, i mean those men are masterpieces of engineering ! But then i realized that asian women sometimes marry busted western guys to get away from the asian system which is really designed to keep women down. My wife comes from a VERY conservative family and she married a western guy, because she needed to get married to get her parents off her back, but she couldn't get married to an asian man because she was way too smart for them and had way too much earning potential and she knew that the asian husband would demand that she pops kids and stays at home, with the con stant pressure of her parents and in laws (especially in laws) and she would have never had the career she has now. So it had to be a western guy. sadly for her, even though i was not interested in having kids (which was good for her) and was not threatened by her earning potential, i also wanted to live in Japan and in a way she knew that if she wanted to live and work in the west she would have to do it alone or with another guy, because my job meant that it had to be asia. So i lived with her 4 years in the west and then told her that by the end of the 4 years (after i get my PhD) she can stay in the west and keep on workin g and i go to japan to work or she can come back with me to Japan and work there. She realized after three years that the west was not great for asian women who want a serious career (not in entertainment), and so she deliberately decided to mov e back to Asia and i went with her as planned. But i think the cliche about asian people only work on people who do not know asia and do not understand its culture. When i am in the west on holiday and read books in Japanese or mandarin or Korean and get approached by asian women who won der who is the white guy who reads their languages, i can immediately spot the fake-ness and the whole story behind the attitude. They also understand righ away that i am not buying the ego boosting flattery and the "you're so smart and so handsome" BS. I remember the funniest thing that ever happened to me was my wife and I at a table in LA and two Asian ladies at the table next to us. I was speaking Japanese with my wife, then she told me she was going to do some shopping and that she would meet me later , 3 minutes after she left the ladies were asking me where i was from, what language i was speaking, how old i was what job i did, and they told me "you are so handsome and when i said i was 45 they gave me the HEEEEEE, you don't look a day over 30. Then my wife came back and said it was way too hot to shop and that she would try when the sun goes down a little. The two ladies started acting super professional and immediately talked to my wife in their broken Japanese (they were Chinese but had allegedly lived in japan a little) , acting like the most trutsworthy friends she'd ever have ! Then they asked her her age and she said she was 42 and (i had a mouthful of cocktail when she said that) EHHHHH you don't look a day over 39. I choked on my drink. I realized that this was the subtle way to tell my wife, you look like an old hag (the girls were clearly in their early 20s). My wife thought i was mocking her when i choked on my drink and i couldn't tell her that those two ladies had just told me before she came back that i looked 15 years younger than i am but my wife looked 2 years younger. And i realize how smart those two girls were because they knew i couldn't tell the story without hurting my wife's feeling. So i said "When i told them i was 45, they said i looked 44, but they said you looked 39 so i was hurt" . That's when the girls understood i was onto their game, and left quickly afterwards. Also because i told them in Mandarin "don(t play that game with me, it won't work". Asia is a fascinating place and when you start to understand the rules, it is a really fun place to live.
