They look at all comedians and how their shows and events have sold. If a comedian has sold out an arena, then Netflix will approach that comedian for a special. Netflix will also pay that comedian a multiplied percentage of their biggest gate. For example, if a comedian sold out an arena and the gate is $375,000.00, the comedian will earn $3.75 million for their comedy special. That's only as an example, of course. So, the only way he will get a Netflix special is by selling out a huge venue. This is why you see a lot of bullshit comedians getting specials on Netflix. It's not because those comedians good, it's because they sell. I do agree, he needs a big comedy special.
