The worth and dignity of a soul is measured by what it delights in! And delight/happiness is our highest desire. Men have killed to have it. Kings have gone mad trying to find it. Wars have served it. Affairs have worshiped it. We all seek it. Sadly, billions have died without discovering its secret... namely, that joy is not an it, but a He. The Gospel is the good news that sinners can delight in a Holy God. It's the good news that all of our deepest desires are satisfied in the ONE who sent His Son to bring us to Him. . God is so valuable and so satisfying that the most loving thing he could do for us is to make Himself gloriously indispensable. He is the only being in the universe for whom self-exaltation is the highest virtue. Therefore, God's commitment to be glorified and our goal to be satisfied are not at odds but come to simultaneous consummation in the worship of His Son... who took upon Himself the Wrath that God had towards us in our sinful disregard of Him. A wrath that could never be appeased through man-made religion. Jesus didn't die to turn the world into a paradise, he died so that we could stop seeking paradise in the world... Temporal things such as beauty, popularity, money, sex, racial identity, gender reassignment... can never truly satisfy. BECAUSE WE WERE MADE FOR SO MUCH MORE! We were made to gaze intently into the Eternal Beauty of a majestic King, Father, and God... meet Jesus the Christ. Life is hard, God is good, Glory is coming 😊... Thanks for taking the time to read this comment. May God bless you with all things necessary for life and goodness. God Bless!

I think a little more foundation should have been given initially to the subject because it was hard figuring out what exactly the issue was so you had to play catchup for a while. Great conversation, very heartbreaking. I'm sorry she had to experience that and it shows it's still something she hasn't processed. This reminds me of the Bil Cosby case. People don't believe Bill Cosby could do such a thing, but I think they confuse Bil Cosby with the character Cliff Huxtable. As in Angela Means's case, people were disrespectful to a character they believe they know when in reality it's a human being they don't know.

"Felicia" was a character but then again she isn't, and how many of us disregard: misuse and abuse, the real life "Felicia's"? The interview that Pierre did with Jerry O'Connell. Jerry said he learned a lesson from the movie 'Stand by Me' he was in. The director Ron Riner told him every scene that he was in "you are just as much apart of this scene whether you have 2 lines or 200". So we have to apply that statement to this. She takes her work serious and portrayed a good job of making her character real, even though it may have seemed like a small role to others. Sad to say that some grown adults are too simple to understand that its just a character and not the actor in real life. She is not ashamed of her character, she is bothered by why some people can't separate the character from the actor. Angela Means is feeling like a lot of actors, where they have stupid people saying stuff because they believe she is really like that.

Friday is a comedy with roles that depicted some people in a neighborhood. I'm glad that Ice Cube delve into this comedy Friday and able to show his talent and versatility in movies Boys In The Hood, aside his then Hardcore Rap persona "NWA" and etc... So I saw the interview a few days ago, but I had and took away a different perspective into what Angela was trying to convey. Maybe I missed something but I didn't take it that she was asking why people was making fun of the role she played. What I got from it is that she was asking why do we ridicule and make fun of the Felecia's in our communities. Those people who are kind, well-meaning, people with beautiful radiant souls who happen to be down on their luck and for that we basically discard them. I'm not sure this is what she was trying to convey but that's what I got. So I think. Maybe she was a bit deeper below the surface than we think or maybe I just went deeper than she intended

Did Pier hear what she said she went through in her real life !🤕 And did he bother to open his ears to hear she said she still goes through with people ! Which means, she is being come at by people who are + 40 or +45 years of age 😕 so supposed grown ass women and males 😡 Can he not see how sad, infantile, and hateful that is on a portion of the Black Communities part ?!!!🧐

Mannn…I might be in my feelings and I know she was speaking about a character, but I think we all know a “Felicia.” If you don’t think so YOU might be the Felicia. I heard her speaking to the disregard of some black women by those that are supposed to care about and/or love her. She brought another dimension to the character. Just as actors are type casted we type cast people in our own lives.

So there is a demographic of delusional, borderline, and mentally ill folks who think that fictional Actors are real. I liked the Felicia character because I could see she was a really good Actress because she was so believable as a crackhead. Friday was a dream team of great Acting..

Everyone hates on Tyler Perry, but he's the only person in Hollywood thats actually doing what Ms Bradley is talking about. Tyler Perry is the only one that consistently gives Black actors the ability to exhibit their talents by presenting a variety of roles to display their talents outside of what it is they're known for doing..

You mean, Kathleen Bradley.😐..see, she is NOT really Ms.Parker no more than Angela Means is Felicia..this has happened to many actors and actresses..some wind up imploding from the 'type cast backlash'..good,bad or indifferent..it is 'collective mind control'.

She took her role an made it become her....when in reality an actor is supposed to act an separate themselves from the roles they played...yeah this is a situation that she needs therapy for because she shouldn't be this deep in it, if your an coror or actress it's your job to perform a fantasy an everyone won't get that so u have to learn to protect your true self

She posed a rhetorical question to make us think a little deeper. THat's all. If you're incapable of thinking on a deeper level just say that.
