It doesn't make it harder at all, my friend Frusko only took about 6 months to reach 700+ subscribers. It may not seem like much, but he worked his ass off for his channel and now it's starting to pay off, so don't start saying that smaller channels are harder to notice because they aren't. Go ahead and advertise yourself because that will land you in a massive heap of shit. You'll gain inactive subscribers and dislikes, you will receive a lot of hate. People won't give you nice criticism for advertising yourself. Just be patient, upload daily and eventually one day it will happen...
