NFS Rivals is the last full-fledged NFS for me, amazing game, I often think of pursuits in this game as "NFS Dark Souls"

while I do like this, as you pretty much get chased according to how good your cars are, and not having to wait half an hour for a challenge, you can also end up getting chased by 400 mph Rhinos on your stock 240sx

I can say that cops in NFS Hot Pursuit are the craziest cops I ever seen..they form road blocks, spikes, helicopter chase, all types of arsenal on you

I know this video is like 8 months old but rivals has to be one of the best police ever in any need for speed game Their aggressive sometimes stupid but the reason why that viper chased The other car is because the viper saw that other car first and chased it but when the viper turned on its lights you were in the pursuit.

And all the MW old heads were swearing that 05 had the best and smartest cops. Personally Hot Pursit, Heat and Rivals especially had the most difficult cops. Rivals made me almost break a controller on heat lv 10.😆

Underground 1 & 2, Most Wanted 2005 and Carbon were one of my childhood games I was 6 when Underground released, 7 years old when Underground 2 released, 8 when Most Wanted released and 9 when Carbon released. Also you'll also become an "old head" one day.

The only reason why cops in modern era NFS are hard is because of the bs health bar. In MW05 and Carbon, if you get boxed in that’s it, although there’s still a chance to get out if you know what you’re doing

MW and Carbon capitalizes on the fact that your car has to do burnout and lose traction and control when pedaling from 0 km/h, meanwhile the cops can maneuver like they're a lighter than feather, but tougher than a tank. This gives the cops advantage because if you're not moving, you can get screwed, so you have to keep moving to maintain that traction. (Literally look at how Cross' car moves at 0:32 can you even do that?) I felt this difference after playing rivals, there's no sense of danger when you're surrounded by cops at 0 km/h, unlike in MW In rivals, the cops and you are affected by some degree of physics, so the cop cars aren't light as feather and doesn't maneuver as easily as MW. The moment you hit the pedal you're highly likely will get away, you don't suffer from too much loss of control when pedaling from 0 km/h (And then there's shockwave too, it's like an anti-bust mechanism) Comparing MW to Rivals is like comparing apples to tomatoes (bruh). The fun of MW pursuit is crashing cops or flipping them over, the fun of rivals pursuit is dealing as much damage to the cop cars with your offensive combos (EMP sets off 0.01 second before shunting them hard, and then fire the shock ram) and destroying the police cars with pursuit tech (I had fun camping around repair shop spamming shockwaves at heat 10 on all those 10 veyrons around me) In heat, your difficulty only comes from not getting crashed nighttime, getting busted is just a skill issue

Cop behavior in free roam is different than in race. Best free roam was MW05 & Rivals. Heat is good too once at highest Heat lvl. Best in race Hot Pursuit, Rivals, Heat.

Most Wanted 2012 cops are crazy. It's sorta funny that they can barely drive, but that also makes it boring when they can't keep up and you want to have an exciting chase. They go insane during races and its lead to some funny moments for me, I've seen them hit ramps and fly into buildings 😂😂 Mfs are crazy. And then they spawn ahead of you at the intersection and try to cross it and you just ram them and obliterate them. It's really annoying that they slam on the brakes and swerve when they get ahead of you. The Rhino's just kamikaze you. The police Corvettes are annoying because they're actually good at dropping spike strips in front of you. And the Chargers are just insane. 😂

Some extra thing I noticed is that in MW 2005, units responding to your shenanigans in free roam will not engage in pursuit if you drive like a normal person. It makes sense because you can hear on the scanner they don’t have a description of you.

For me it's the cops from NFS heat because they kind of form a formation to stop your car so one car back front left right and they can see and patrol you better

Nfs most wanted 2005 had the best cop formations to stop the player. There were 8 different cop formations. The formation in nfs heat that u just described was formation number 2 in mw 2005. Most wanted 2005 cops may be good at boxin the player in with different tactics but in other things they are stupid AF.
