DQ’s case of BBM you did argue to make it quicker, why and you even vote against the other without hearing from the defendant and to the petitioner in order to determine the accurate judgement I believe madam, what you did was grossly wrong, and punishable by law. We don’t have written constitution here in UK, we use the right action of an individual . Marcos paid through withholding tax because he worked as a government official. The non-payment is not an issue only the non-filing. In any country you cannot go to jail for non-filing. They will only charge you for monetary fines and penalties or levies for a reason but no jail time. My understanding is that the court of appeals was the one who requested BBM to pay the deficiency or fine to BIR through Landbank and not the RTC court. That is the reason why they can't find any receipt of payment in RTC. In-fact he did paid the fine by showing the receipt to the media. And BIR did corroborated the claim that it was paid.

BBM was not my choice at first, but I now sympathize with BBM because of Guanzon's trial by publicity and will indeed vote for him. It is the employer that is accountable to file the taxes and not the employee unless it is earned outside his or her employment. The person accountable should be the government who was governing that time. Why? Because if they were able to detect bbm's alleged tax evasion only after 30 years, paano na lng yung ibang government officials during that time? You dont twist the law just because it doesnt agree to your interest. Im not pro bbm but we are not blind to see that they are trying to stage a public theater, a trial by publicity.
