As someone who goes nonverbal, (way less than I used to); thank you. This comment summed up my feelings. I always have to “suffer” when I go nonverbal, bc no one is willing to meet me part of the way. I love seeing it in a healthy relationship/environment!

I’ve only gone non-verbal one time and I had to go to the bathroom to just..calm down I was already overstimulated and I was forced into another social event. It was so loud, crowded, and hot. I thought I was actually going to die if didn’t leave it was lots of on and off crying, laying my head down, and hiding in the bathroom. My head was pounding and I couldn’t even ask if i could leave. My needs due to ADHD have never been met and now that I’m learning more about ADHD so many things are starting to make sense.

I got extremely overwhelmed last night while I was still at work. I had to turn off my watch because I could hear it ticking, I was surrounded by music, I couldn't handle any light and I couldn't even take a walk because the sound of the wind was too much for me. My head wouldn't shut up. It is sincerely painful living with something like this and I'm glad you shed some light onto this issue that some of us go through. Thank you so much ❣

I'm one of those people who often hate being touched. But if i know you well, trust you, and you respect my boundaries, then i love to offer hugs and cuddles, if the other person is in the mood for that as well😊 you sound so sweet and caring 😊 i learned a bit of sign language when i was around 7, beacuse i had a hard time speaking. I don't need it as much now that I'm 23, but sometimes i wish i could go nonverbal. Beacuse sometimes i just like to be quiet😊 but i often don't go nonverbal, and force myself to speak, beacuse it's usually just better to. Also, as someone who works in a bookstore, give exact titles and authors, like on a paper to grandparents, it helps us a lot when we’re trying to find said book or author. It’s not always easy to figure the title out when a grandparent or parent doesn’t know it or the author.

Just had to say, I read every Colleen hoover book last summer except verity and one other one I forgot the name of so like 11 books. I honestly loved them but at the same time, they're kind of empty like missing emotions. It's hard to explain, I like them, and I kinda love them but I kinda sorta hate them.
