Ouch. Not had controller issues but find AAA games are way better on handhelds when streaming from a gaming PC using Moonlight. Not much tweaking required if your PC is beefy enough. But I have a Steam Deck and never tried any Windows handheld. Totally with you adoring the Steam Deck.

Luckily like you mentioned, most menu bar icons can be hidden using a setting but for the pesky ones that don't, I use Vanilla because you can remove rather than just hide icons. Fascinating about how spammy the Adobe menu bar icon is.
